Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. All women of legal age residing in Spanish territory may participate. Likewise, within the "Young Author" Award modality, women between the ages of 12 and 17 (turning in 2025) may also participate. The winners of the first prize of the last three editions of the Catarroja "Conta'm Dona" Short Story Contest, that is, the XXIV, XXIII, XXII editions, will not be able to participate in the contest. However, the winners of the Young Award, the Catarrogina Award and those awarded with the second prize may apply for this call. Each author may only submit one work per call. In no case will stories written by more than one author be admitted. All works must be created in their entirety by the author, expressly prohibiting the use of artificial and generative intelligence (AI) tools for the preparation and writing of the works. Works that are detected to have been prepared with said artificial intelligence tools will be subject to exclusion from the contest. Participating persons must not be involved in any of the prohibition causes to obtain the status of beneficiaries established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, and must comply with the rest of the requirements established in the call. Participation in the contest implies full and unconditional acceptance of these contest rules. Second. Object. This edition includes the following modalities: - Conta'm Dona Award. - Second prize of the Contest. - Young Author Award. - Catarrogines Award, sponsored by Caixa Popular. The works can be presented in both Spanish and Valencian. Third. Regulatory bases. The bases for participating in this call have been approved by Mayor's Resolution 2719 of July 30, 2025 and can be consulted on the Catarroja City Council web portal. Quarter. Amount. The maximum global amount allocated to the event of the XXV Edition of the “Conta’m Dona” Short Story Contest is €2,750. The award ceremony is distributed as follows: «Conta'm dona»: €1,000 Accèssit» of the Contest: €500 «Young Author»: €300 «Catarrogines Prize». Special prize sponsored by Caixa Popular: €300 Fifth. Application submission deadline. From the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia until October 15, 2025, day included.
