Call for the granting of subsidies to individual athletes from Figueres who participate in competitions and/or are part of high-level sports programs in the year 2025

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries The following may be beneficiaries of the subsidies of this call: a) Non-professional athletes who, in individual or pair competitions, have placed on the podium in Championships of Catalonia, participated or placed on the podium in Spanish Championships, participated or placed on the podium in European Championships or have participated in championships of the mi or higher, recognized by the respective sports federations at the Catalan, state or international level. b) Athletes of individual sports who prove they are in possession of the high-level athlete/high sports performance certificate issued by the Higher Sports Council or the high-level Catalan high-level performance certificate issued by the Catalan Sports Council. Natural persons (or their legal representative, if they are minors) who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the subsidies covered by this call: a) Be registered in Figueres (minimum period of uninterrupted residence from the date of application: 3 years). Have a current federative license, processed by the Federation of the corresponding sports modality. b) Not be disqualified or have a federation sanction for a serious offense or sanction for a doping record. c) Not having any type of license and/or professional or similar contract. d) Be up to date with tax and/or public law obligations with the City Council and other administrations, and with Social Security, as well as the obligations to reimburse subsidies granted by the City Council. Second. Object. The purpose of this call is to regulate the granting of subsidies to amateur, non-professional athletes from Figueres, under 30 years of age, in individual or couple sports, who, after qualification or selection, have participated in championships in Catalonia, Spain, Europe or at a higher level, recognized by the respective sports federations at Catalan, state or international level, or who have a high-level athlete/high sports performance certificate issued by the Higher Sports Council or the Council. Catalan of Sports. Third. Regulatory bases The call is made in accordance with the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies for individual athletes from Figueres who participate in competitions and/or are part of high-level sports programs in 2024 approved by the Local Government Board, in a session dated July 31, 2024, published in BOP number 160 on August 20, 2024. Quart. Amount. The subsidies object of this call are financed from the budget application 25 203 34100 48000 AID FOR SPORTS for the year 2025 and the total amount is 9,300.00 euros. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline to submit applications will be from September 29 to October 31, 2025, both included. Sixth. Other data. The period for evaluating the merits available to aspire to the subsidies of this call is established between October 1, 2024 and September 30, 2025. The subsidies object of this call are, for all purposes spent under public law, have a discretionary, voluntary and eventual nature, they do not generate any right to obtain other subsidies in subsequent years and cannot be claimed as a precedent. The procedure for its concession will be processed under a competitive competition regime, in accordance with article 22 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency, competition book, objectivity, equality, non-discrimination, effectiveness and efficiency. The subsidies granted will be compatible with any granted by other public administrations, public or private entities for the same activity. Beneficiaries will have to communicate the request and/or obtaining of any concurrent public subsidy that has not been declared with the application. The sum of all subsidies obtained for the same purpose may not exceed the total cost of the subsidized activity. If this cost is exceeded, the excess will be required to be refunded in proportion. The subsidy application and all the required documentation will be submitted electronically by means of a digital certificate through the entry register of the Fig City Council.
