RULES AND CALL FOR THE XVI VILLA DE BORNOS OUTDOOR PAINTING COMPETITION The Bornos City Council, through the Culture Delegation, calls the XVI Villa de Bornos outdoor painting competition, in accordance with the following rules: FIRST.- Purpose of the call. The object of the contest is the selection of works of art. SECOND.- Total budget and budget application. 2.1.- The maximum amount for the sole prize of the contest is one thousand nine hundred and fifty euros, which will be charged to the Prizes and Contests item of the Culture Delegation of the budget corresponding to the year 2025. 2.2.- The costs of transportation, food and insurance for the presentation in this contest will be borne by each contestant. THIRD.- Participants. 3.1.- All painters who wish to participate in the contest, both professionals and amateurs, whether national or foreign. 3.2.- Three modalities of participation in the contest are established: Children's Modality: From 5 to 11 years old included. Adolescent Modality: From 12 to 15 years old included. Adult Modality: From 16 years of age. Minors under 18 years of age will be required to obtain authorization from their father, mother or legal guardian, which is included in the application attached in the Annex to these bases. 3.3.- Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of the rules. FOURTH.- Characteristics of the works. 4.1.- SUPPORTS It will be painted on canvas, wood or any rigid support (in white or base or smooth color). The support will be provided by the author, being sealed from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Bornos Town Hall (Plaza Alcalde José González, 1). Each support will be numbered on the back by the organization, leaving the information of the participants in a sealed envelope with the same numbering provided. A single support will be stamped, per participant, in any technique except watercolor, in which case the stamping of up to two supports per participant will be permitted, although they will have the same number. In the adult modality, the minimum support area will be 65 X 50 cm. In the child and adolescent modalities, the maximum area is established at 55 x 38 cm. In order to avoid contamination effects, each participant will also carry the appropriate material to collect the remains generated by paint and/or solvents (not throwing them into tree pits, sewers, etc.) depositing them in clean points. 4.2.- TECHNIQUE AND THEME: Any type of painting technique may be used: watercolor, acrylic, oil,…. The theme of the work will be free, valuing, in particular, those that reflect the tourist attraction of the Town, especially in relation to the monumental heritage and the natural environment: landscapes, streets, squares, monuments, buildings, etc. FIFTH.- Deadline and celebration of the contest. 5.1.- Deadline. The day of the contest will be October 4. The period for admission of originals begins the day following the publication of the rules in the "Official Gazette" of the province of Cádiz, through the BNDS and will end on October 2, both included. Registration can be done at the Bornos Town Hall (Casa Ordóñez) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or through the email bornos@bornos.es, or on the same day of the contest. 5.2.- The works must be carried out throughout the day on October 5. Before 12 in the morning, the painter must inform the organization of his exact location to later facilitate the visit to the residents of Bornos. It is an essential requirement that the work be carried out entirely in the selected location. 5.3.- From 5 to 6 p.m. they will be delivered, without signing along with the technical sheet, at the Bornos Town Hall, to the personnel responsible for the organization. From 6 to 8 p.m., all the works presented in the competition will be exhibited, to the public in general and to the jury in particular, in the Plaza Alcalde José González de Bornos. Each author will show his/her work on his/her corresponding easel. Under no circumstances may the exhibited works be removed before 8 p.m. 5.4.- Rejection of offers. The participation of any artist who does not present his or her work in the time and place established for it will be cancelled. SIXTH.- Means of notification and publication. In accordance with the provisions of article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Procedure of Public Administrations
