REGULATORY BASES AND CALL FOR 2025 FOR THE GRANTING OF THE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP IN THE FIELD OF EQUALITY

Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. You can apply for the scholarship individually or in a group. In the second case (groups of natural persons without legal status) they must appoint a responsible person, who will have the main responsibility for everything related to the research work. To be able to access the scholarship, it is essential to meet the following conditions: University studies: have an intermediate or higher university degree. Have the EGA or equivalent (C1). In the case of work groups, at least 50% of the members must meet these two conditions. In any case, the person responsible for the project must comply with them. In any case, to be considered beneficiaries, they must meet the requirements established in article 13 of General Subsidy Law 38/2003 and in articles 18 to 29 of Royal Decree 887/2006 and in the Ordinance for granting subsidies of the Zumaia City Council. Second. Object. The research framework will focus on analyzing the socioeconomic, cultural and political situation of rural women in Zumaia, identifying the gender inequalities that occur there and proposing strategies to overcome them. As stated in IV. Plan for Equality, the Zumaia City Council is interested in collecting data and carrying out the analysis of women who live in rural areas. Identify the necessary measures to guarantee the survival of the rural environment and encourage new generations to work in the primary sector to incorporate them into their planning. Third. Regulatory bases. Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. General Subsidy Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21. General ordinance regulating the granting of subsidies by the Zumaia City Council and its Autonomous Bodies (Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa No. 151, of August 11, 2020). Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Zumaia City Council for the period 2024-2027. (Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa no. 243, of December 20, 2023). Legislative Decree 1/2023, of March 16, which approves the consolidated text of the Law for the Equality of Women and Men and Lives Free of Sexist Violence against Women. Room. Amount. The amount of the scholarship will be 6,700 euros and will be paid from budget item 11200.481.231.50.01 2025. Fifth. Application submission deadline. Applications can be submitted in person or electronically by individuals. They must be presented in person at the Zumaia Municipal Registry (Foruen enparantza 1, 20750 Zumaia) or in any other manner provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. Telematically, accessing the electronic headquarters of the City Council through its website (www.zumaia.eus). Deadline for submitting applications: 30 days, valid from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of Gipuzkoa. Sixth. Form and terms of payment. Payment will be made in 3 payments to an account owned by the beneficiary by bank transfer: 1st payment: 40% once the project has been selected and the scholarship has been accepted by the beneficiary. 2nd payment: 30% after three months. 3rd payment: 30% when the investigation is presented and the jury gives its approval at the end. Withholdings will be made corresponding to the amount of the subsidy, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Income Tax regulations, and any other applicable taxes must be deducted. All expenses generated by the research will be borne by the beneficiary of the research grant.
