XXX school drawing contest of the Ciutat d'Alzira Literary Awards 2025

Official description of the call

First. Purpose: The purpose of these awards is to promote artistic creativity and make known the existence of the Ciudad de Alzira Literary Awards among the students of our city, both in Primary Education, Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and training cycles. The motto for this call is “The figure of Jaume I”, with the intention of paying tribute to the person who founded the Kingdom of Valencia and created a new way of seeing the world, the Valencian way. Second. Beneficiaries: All students in the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate, Training Cycles and Special Education from public, subsidized and private centers in Alzira can participate in this contest, with individual or collective work. Third. Regulatory bases: The Plenary Session of the Alzira City Council, in the session held on January 29, 2020, has definitively approved the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Alzira City Council, which contains the regulatory bases of the procedure for the granting of subsidies by this City Council, and the full text of the same has been published in the Official Gazette of the province of Valencia No. 29, dated February 12, 2020. Fourth. Application submission deadline: The submission deadline will be from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province until October 17, 2025. Fifth.- Maximum total amount of the subsidies called: The maximum total amount of the subsidies called will be 1050 euros, charged to the budget application 3261 48001 of the Department of Education and Childhood of the year 2025, of the Budget of the Alzira City Council for the year 2025. For each of these categories, three prizes are awarded, consisting of vouchers that will be provided by the Department of Education and Children of the Alzira City Council. The first prize of €60, the second of €50 and the third of €40. The works are classified into the following categories: • Second Cycle of Early Childhood Education, 5 years • First Cycle of Primary Education • Second Cycle of Primary Education • Third Cycle of Primary Education • Compulsory Secondary Education • Baccalaureate and Training Cycles • Special Education (students from Special Education centers or ordinary centers with ACIS) There will also be a Special Prize, a selection of titles from Ediciones Bromera, for the center that has participated with the greatest proportional number of participation, in relation to their actual enrollment, and that, in addition, in the opinion of the jury, has best represented the topic of the call overall. Sixth.- Documentation: 1. The works presented may freely use any plastic material or technique: pencil, markers, wood paints, crayons, watercolors, tempera, oil, mosaic, collage, etc., and will avoid including elements that can easily come off. 2. Thematically, the drawings must adapt to the motto proposed as the title in the 2025 call: “The figure of Jaume I”. So that the students of the Alcira educational centers, through their drawings, pay tribute to King James I as founder of the Valencian people and highlight the role that Alzira played in the life of the Conqueror. 3. The size of the works will be DIN A-4 format, horizontally or vertically, and strong paper or cardboard of the same size will be used as support, without margins. Works submitted that do not meet the characteristics of the last two sections will not be taken into account. 4. Only one work per author may be submitted individually. In the case of a collective work, the presence of an author who has already presented an individual work will be permitted. On the back of each drawing, the name and surname of the author, age, level of education, educational center and population must be written in legible handwriting. 5. Each center will make a selection of the works made and, after this first selection, it will only be able to present a maximum of fifteen works for each category and educational line to the jury phase (for example, one-line centers can present 15; two-line centers, 30...) 6. Works presented individually will also be accepted, provided that the center where you study does not participate in the competition. 7. The works selected in the educational centers will be presented to the Education Department of the Alzira City Council
