Official description of the call

First: Beneficiaries: The following organizations, centers and entities for research and knowledge dissemination and companies, with a work center in the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, may have the status of beneficiaries of the subsidy, provided they meet the requirements in each case: a) Public universities of the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, its university institutes, and private universities with demonstrated capacity and activity in R&D&i, in accordance with the provisions of the Law. Organic 2/2023, of March 22, of the University System. b) Public health centers and institutions of the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria and private non-profit institutions, linked or agreed with the National Health System, that develop R&D&I activities. c) Biomedical or health research institutes accredited by ministerial order, belonging to the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. d) Technology Centers and Support Centers for Technological Innovation that belong to the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. e) Other public R&D&I centers in the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, with their own legal personality that, in their statutes or in their corporate purpose or in the regulations that regulate them, have R&D&I as an activity. f) Private R&D&I centers, non-profit and with their own legal personality, that have defined, in their statutes or in their corporate purpose or in the regulations that regulate them, R&D&I as their main activity. g) Companies belonging to the public or private sector that carry out research and innovation initiatives. h) Public agricultural and food research centers of the institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, integrated into the Department responsible for agri-food research, participating in the INIA-CCAA Agrarian Research Coordinating Commission, may also be beneficiary entities and centers, provided they have their own legal personality. 2. The institutional public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria is understood to be that defined in article 86 Law 5/2018, of November 22, on the legal regime of the Government, the Administration and the institutional Public sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. 3. Entities and centers in which any of the circumstances contemplated in article 13.2, 13.3 and 13.3 bis of Law 38/2003, of November 17, or in article 12.2 and 3, of Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, occur, will not be able to obtain the status of beneficiaries of the subsidies regulated in this Order. 4. The requesting entities must prove before issuing the proposed resolution that they are up to date with compliance with their tax obligations with the State Tax Administration Agency, with Social Security and with their obligations with the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. Second. Purpose: 1. The subsidies called for hiring will be used to finance the labor and salary costs, including contributions for all concepts to Social Security, of the young people who are hired for the development and execution of the research and innovation initiatives of the Young Researchers Program. 2. Contracts with a minimum duration of twelve months will be subsidized, and the eligible period will only be twelve months. People whose contracts were subsidized under calls for Investigo Programs of the year 2022 or 2024, approved by Resolution of December 28, 2021 (Extraordinary BOC December 31, 2021) or by Order IND/14/2024, of April 10 (BOC April 18, 2021), cannot be hired under this Program. 2024), respectively. The subsidized contracts, which must be full-time, will be carried out in accordance with current labor regulations. Young people who have held any type of research position in the same entity, company or group of companies cannot be hired within the 6 months immediately prior to the start date of the new contract subject to subsidy. The maximum number of contracts to request for each entity, depending on the type of entity.
