Official description of the call
Environment Service, 2030 Agenda and Demographic Challenge Decree no. 5,093, of October 24, 2025 of the Presidency of the Provincial Council of Albacete, which approves the open call for aid to Town Councils for the collection and care of lost and abandoned dogs in their municipality during the year 2025. BDNS (identification): 862725 In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b and 20.8.a of the Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database: https://www.pap.hacienda.gob.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/convocatorias (and in the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council, www.dipualba.es, in the subsidies section). First.- Beneficiaries: The Town Councils of the Province of Albacete with less than 10,000 inhabitants and that are not members of the Provincial Dog Collection Service (Emperrados) of the Provincial Council of Albacete will be able to access this aid. Second.- Purpose: The aid granted will be allocated to Town Councils in the province of Albacete with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants that have a collection service and have collected stray, abandoned or homeless dogs in their municipality and their subsequent care and accommodation in the period between January 1 and December 31, 2025 for: - Collection of lost, abandoned or homeless dogs helplessness of their municipality, accommodation and necessary care according to the criteria set out in Law 7/2023, of March 28, on the protection of the rights and well-being of animals - Activities aimed at carrying out prophylactic actions, such as deworming or vaccination of dogs collected in their municipalities, in order to reduce the risks of spreading diseases and other veterinary expenses essential to maintain the health of these individuals and be able to give them up for adoption. - Activities aimed at improving the living and feeding conditions of the dogs in the zoos set up for them. - Activities aimed at the adoption of these dogs and the campaign to promote responsible adoption. - Expenses derived from the maintenance and conservation of the dog shelter - Temporary foster care campaigns - Volunteer campaigns Third.- Regulatory Bases: The General Subsidy Ordinance of the Excma. Provincial Council of Albacete, whose final approval agreement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 8 of January 19, 2024. Fourth.- Amount: The maximum global amount of aid granted under this call will be €30,000 charged to the budget of the Excma. Provincial Council for the financial year 2025. The maximum unit amount of subsidies granted under this call may not exceed 10,000 euros. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will begin from the day following the publication of the announcement of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province, and will remain open for up to one month after said publication, being resolved in a single phase. Sixth.- Submitting applications: Interested parties must complete the electronic application form available at the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Albacete and attach a report or project, according to art. 5 of the Bases of the Open Call for Aid to City Councils for the collection and care of lost and abandoned dogs in their municipality during the year 2025 in www.dipualba.es, section “Aids and subsidies”, signed electronically, through the subsidies platform, which will allow sending through the Telematic Registry regulated by the Regulation published in the B.O.P. number 7 dated January 18, 2008.
