Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. UCLM doctoral students with academic supervision in force in the 2025/2026 academic year, at most in their third year of academic supervision, and who maintain their enrolled status until the end of the grant execution period, who are directed by UCLM professors who carry out their activity on the Cuenca campus, may apply for this call. Likewise, the training activity should preferably focus on topics related to Cuenca and its province, and take place at the UCLM facilities on the Cuenca Campus. In addition, the beneficiaries must be university graduates who have obtained their academic degree at the UCLM. Exceptionally, graduates from other Universities may apply for these grants, as long as they are enrolled in a UCLM doctoral program during the entire period of enjoyment of these grants. Those responsible for the projects will have to be full-time UCLM professors and/or PhD researchers who carry out their activity on the Cuenca campus. For these purposes, all researchers from the Ramón y Cajal, Juan de la Cierva programs, contracted access to doctoral research personnel, and similar will also be considered. Second. Object. Financial funds are provided to support the start of research training for UCLM doctoral students, for which a maximum of 10 training projects will be awarded distributed among the five major scientific areas: Health Sciences, Experimental Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Social and Legal Sciences, and Art and Humanities. The assignment will be made based on the number of applications received in each area. Of the total projects, 5% will be reserved for students with a disability equal to or greater than 33%. In the event that any of the areas are left empty due to lack of applications, the corresponding aid will be included in the offer of the other areas, taking into account the number of applications received. The aid will have a duration that will extend from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026. The following concepts will be financeable within each training project: - Amount of a research training scholarship for the beneficiary of the aid. - Expenses on consumables used for research incurred in research training projects during the duration of the aid and/or travel and subsistence allowances for travel to meetings of the research team. Third. Regulatory bases. Regulatory bases that form part of the full text of the call. Room. Amount of aid. The budget for this call amounts to 50,000 euros. The gross amount of the aid is 5,000 euros, divided into 800 euros gross per month as a training scholarship and 200 euros for expenses for consumables and/or travel and subsistence allowances for travel to meetings of the research team, within the limit of personal income tax regulations. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 business days from the day the call is published. Sixth. Other data. The following documentation must be attached to the application form: 1. Academic Record. 2. Curriculum vitae of the applicant, attaching in the same PDF the documentary accreditation of the merits included therein. 3. Curriculum vitae of the director of the training research project in the last five years (2020-2024). 4. Report of the training research project to be developed. 5. Favorable report from the Directors/Deans of the centers involved where the research project will be carried out.
