Official description of the call
In accordance with the provisions of articles 20.8.a) and 23.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (https://www.pap.hacienda.gob.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/convocatorias), and in this DOE (http://doe.juntaex.es). First. - Object and purpose 1. The object of this resolution is to approve the second call for aid for the financing of investment projects to improve the competitiveness and quality of tourism companies in Extremadura under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of Spain, approved by Agreement of the Council of Ministers of April 27, 2021, in accordance with the regulatory bases provided for in Decree 90/2024, of April 30, 2021. July. 2. These subsidies will be articulated through the following lines: a) Improvement in the quality of rural accommodation. b) Improving the quality of spas. c) Improving the quality of alternative tourism activity and tourism intermediation companies. d) Improving the quality of hotel, non-hotel and restaurant accommodation. 3. These subsidies will contribute to achieving the objectives of creation and cohesion of tourist experiences in tangible and intangible supports to strengthen the attractiveness of the destination and, therefore, achieve more connection and recommendation from visitors. 4. The purpose of the aid provided for in this call is to contribute to the achievement of the objectives related to Measure C14.I1submeasure 2 of Investment 1 of the Modernization and Competitiveness Plan for the Tourism Sector, component 14 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) of Spain approved by the Council's Implementing Decision of July 13, 2021. 5. In particular, the Specific purposes and objectives of the aid are: - Improve the offer of tourist services and products. - Improve the digital sale of the Extremadura destination. Second. - Beneficiary persons 1. Any of the subjects listed below may be beneficiaries: a) Natural or legal persons, of a private nature that are owners and operators of establishments intended for tourist companies or spas. b) The natural or legal persons who operate, rent, or concessionaires of establishments intended for tourist companies or spas who accredit said condition through a current contract that expressly authorizes them to undertake those actions for which the subsidy is requested. Tourism companies will be carrying out the tourist activity that is the subject of the subsidy at the time of the application and must be registered in the Registry of Tourist Companies and Activities of Extremadura, at least twelve months prior to the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (http://doe.juntaex.es) of the call and its extract, with the exception of café-bars and other leisure establishments, which must be registered at least eight years in advance. to said publication. 2. The following are tourism companies: a) Rural accommodation: rural houses, rural apartment houses, hut houses and rural hotels. b) Companies of alternative tourist activities and intermediation: 1. Tourism intermediation companies: travel agencies, reservation centers and professional conference organizers. 2. Alternative tourism activity companies. c) Hotel, non-hotel and restaurant accommodation: 1. Hotel accommodation: hotels, apartment hotels, spa hotels, hostels and pensions. 2. Non-hotel accommodation: tourist apartments, tourist hostels and tourist camps. 3. Catering: restaurants, cafes, café-bars and other leisure establishments, catering and banquet halls. 3. Spas located in Extremadura. Communities of property, civil societies, groups of natural or legal persons, public or private, or any other type of economic unit or separate assets that, although lacking legal personality, can carry out the actions that motivate the granting of the subsidy may also access the status of beneficiaries of Third Party subsidies.
