Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.infosubvenciones.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/index): Object, conditions and purpose of the granting of the subsidy.- This call has The objective is to subsidize projects aimed at the recovery, dissemination and promotion of historical memory by City Councils (excluding minor local entities) of the province of Valencia. Regulatory bases.- This call is governed by the provisions of the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Valencia, approved by plenary agreement in a session of March 28, 2023, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia, number 107, of June 5, 2023 and whose last modification was approved by plenary agreement on December 4, 2024, and its entry into force published in the BOP no. 45, of March 6, 2025. Budget credits to which the subsidy is attributed and maximum total amount.- They will be financed by applications 641 334.11 762.00 and 641 334.11 462.00 of the 2026 expenditure budget, with a maximum estimated amount of 675,000 euros, which is intended to be paid with the following breakdown: - 600,000 euros charged to the application 641 334.11 762.00. - 75,000 euros charged to the application 641 334.11 462.00, both from the 2026 expense budget. All of this is conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the 2026 expense budget. Eligible activities. - The eligible activities are: - The construction of funerary works for the burial of cadaveric remains that have been previously exhumed from common graves. - The installation of testimonial or explanatory elements in recognition of buildings, places and geographical spaces linked to historical memory, because some type of action or event had occurred in them in the period between the outbreak of the Civil War and the end of the Dictatorship. - The conditioning and restoration of buildings, facilities, places and geographical spaces, as defined in Law 20/2022, of October 19, on Democratic Memory and in Law 5/2024, of July 26, on Concord of the Valencian Community, linked to events that occurred since the establishment of the Second Republic until the approval of the Statutes of Autonomy of the Valencian Community. - The implementation of projects and actions that promote the dissemination and training in matters of Valencian historical and democratic memory. This may include, among others, the organization of conferences, symposiums, conferences, seminars and temporary exhibitions, audiovisual products, publications, educational and artistic projects. Beneficiaries.- City councils of the province of Valencia, with the exception of minor local entities. Entities in which any of the circumstances provided for in art. 13 of the General Law of Subsidies, nor those that are indebted to the Provincial Council of Valencia or its dependent entities in the terms expressed in the General Ordinance of Subsidies of the Provincial Council of Valencia. Compatibility.- This subsidy is compatible with the receipt of other subsidies, aid, income or resources for the same purpose from any other administration or public or private entity. The subsidy awarded in this call, alone or in conjunction with other subsidies, may not exceed the cost of the subsidized activity. Amount of subsidies.- The amount of the subsidy may reach up to 80% of the eligible cost of the projects presented. Each entity can submit a maximum of two projects, of which, at most, one will be subsidized per subsidy line. Concession procedure.- This call is governed by the competitive bidding procedure and will be post-payable. However, the beneficiary entity may request, for each annuity independently, advance payment of up to 80% of the amount granted.
