Order APA/379/2023, of April 8, published in the “Official State Gazette” number 93, of April 19, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the Spanish Food Awards, states in its article 4.1 that the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food will announce the awards by publishing them in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhafp.gob.es/bdnstrans) and an extract of it in the Official State Gazette. First. Purpose, modalities and requirements for participation. Call for the “Food of Spain, 2026” Award under a competitive competition regime. The modalities that can be chosen are the following: “Food from Spain to the Food Industry” Award. “Food from Spain for Innovation” Award. “Food from Spain” Award for Entrepreneurial Initiative. “Food from Spain” Award for Organic Production. “Foods of Spain” Award for Food Internationalization. “Food of Spain” Award for Fisheries and Aquaculture Production. “Food of Spain for Communication” Award. “Food from Spain for Promotion” Award. “Food from Spain for Restoration” Award. “Foods of Spain” Award for the Initiative to reduce food waste. “Extraordinary Food of Spain” Award. Agricultural farms, aquaculture facilities, food and fishing companies, entities, organizations or associations may participate, as appropriate, regardless of the legal form they adopt, whose main headquarters is located within the national territory, as well as natural persons who carry out their activity in Spain and who meet the requirements specifically established for each of the modalities of the award in article 11.2 of Order APA/379/2023, of April 8. Second. Application. Applications will be addressed to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and will be presented, through the electronic registry of this Ministry, at its associated electronic headquarters (https://sede.mapa.gob.es) by means of a valid electronic certificate compatible with said electronic headquarters, completing the information required therein. If the beneficiaries are natural persons, they may choose to submit the applications at said associated electronic office or in person at the General Registry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food or at any of the places provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The application and the corresponding annexes will be accompanied by a report, its executive summary and, where appropriate, optional complementary documentation as specified in Annex IV of the call. Additional documentation must also be submitted, only for the following award modalities: a) “Food from Spain for Organic Production” Award. Candidates for this award must present a current and valid certificate proving that the operator that produces or manufactures the products complies with the regulations on organic production. b) “Food of Spain for Communication” Award and “Food of Spain for Promotion” Award. Candidates for these awards must justify the audience or impacts generated in order to contrast the impact of the work or promotional actions. It will also be a necessary requirement to present, if applicable, the resume or summary of the professional career of the main promoters of the proposal submitted to the competition. The Extraordinary Food Prize of Spain, in accordance with the provisions of article 11.2 k), of Order APA/379/2023, of April 8, the candidacy will be exclusively at the proposal of the Presidency of the jury, outside the period for submitting candidatures. This, if admitted by the jury, must be communicated to the interested person or entity, who, if accepted, must present completed Annex II and Annex III of the call. Third. Regulatory bases. Order APA/379/2023, of April 8, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the Spanish Food Awards. Room. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of this extract in the “Official State Gazette” until March 3, 2026, inclusive.
