FIRST. OBJECT A “municipal economic benefit for maternity/paternity” is established as a measure to support births through the granting of a single maternity/paternity benefit for daughters/daughters born or adopted who are minors in Santander. SECOND. BENEFICIARIES People who meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases of the municipal economic benefit for maternity/paternity may be beneficiaries of the economic benefit. THIRD. AMOUNT OF THE BENEFIT The amount of the benefit will be a single amount of €200 for each child born or minor adopted in Santander between January 1 and December 31, 2026, and can only be requested when the constitutive event of its granting (birth or adoption) and registration of said child occurs. ROOM. PROCESSING REGIME. The financial benefits will be granted on a competitive basis, by simply verifying that the applicant meets the requirements established in the regulatory bases and taking into account the temporal priority of the application, until the budget item provided for in the call is exhausted. FIFTH. DEADLINE AND PLACE The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of Cantabria until December 31, 2026. Exceptionally, in the case of children born or adopted between December 1 and 31, the deadline for submitting applications will be extended until January 31 of the following year. SIXTH. PAYMENT AND JUSTIFICATION. The payment of the financial benefits will be made to the person/s who appear as the applicant for the same, in the bank account of which they are the owner and have indicated for this purpose. The beneficiaries of the benefit will not have to justify it, understanding that the financial benefit for this concept is granted in response to the occurrence of a certain situation in the recipient that does not require any other justification than the accreditation already provided of their situation prior to the granting, without prejudice to the controls that could be established to verify its existence. SEVENTH. ALLOCATED CREDIT The total amount of credit allocated to this call is €120,000.00, which may be increased depending on the budgetary availability of the year. EIGHTH. OBJECTIVES, INDICATORS AND EXPECTED RESULTS. OBJECTIVES INDICATORS OBJECTIVE 1: Support the birth rate in the municipality of Santander. 1.1- Number of applications granted OBJECTIVE 2: Analyze data on births and adoptions in the municipality. 2.1- Number of applications by birth and adoption EXPECTED RESULTS: Applications received: 600 Applications approved: 550 NINTH. REGULATORY BASES Regulatory bases of the municipal financial benefit for maternity/paternity. In matters not expressly provided for in these bases, the provisions of the General Ordinance of Subsidies and Aid of the Santander City Council, of December 29, 2022, will be applied, which will be considered the general bases of this call, and in the rest of the current regulations that are applicable.
