Official description of the call
First. Beneficiary entities. Entities that may benefit from the aid, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of the call, may be public research organizations, public universities and their university institutes, private universities, public health entities and institutions, accredited health research institutes of a public nature, and other public R&D&I centers. Second. Object. The purpose of the call is to facilitate the incorporation of consolidated research talent, of recognized international prestige and who have recently developed a relevant period of their professional activity abroad, so as to promote progress towards a more competitive Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation at a national and international level and, in this way, favor the circulation of knowledge and excellent research personnel, incorporating them in a stable manner, supporting their career and stimulating the generation and consolidation of top-level research teams. Third. Regulatory bases. Order CIN/1025/2022, of October 27, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of public aid corresponding to various programs and subprograms of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, whose management corresponds to the State Research Agency. Room. Amount. The maximum amount intended to finance this call is 40,000,000.00 euros, which will be attributed to budgetary application 28,303,463B,750 of the General State Budgets in the years 2027 and following, or equivalents that replace it, in accordance with budgetary availability. Fifth. Form and deadline for submitting applications. The application submission period will begin on April 23 and end on June 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). Applications will be submitted in accordance with the procedure described in article 12 of the call. The electronic completion and presentation of the application must be carried out through the electronic means enabled for this purpose on the website of the State Research Agency. Sixth. Evaluation criteria. Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria: a) Scientific-technical career of the main researcher. b) Novelty, quality and viability of the project. The description of the criteria and sub-criteria, as well as their assessment and thresholds, are determined in Annex I of the call.
