Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: 1. The status of beneficiary may be a company, whatever its legal form, that is validly incorporated at the time of submitting the application, is the owner in Cantabria of one of the economic activities listed in article 2 of Order IND/23/2023, of March 20, which establishes the regulatory bases for the INNOVA line of subsidies, and is registered in the corresponding heading of the tax on economic activities and in Social Security, whose activity corresponds to any of those listed below: a) List of activities included in the industrial sector: Non-energy mineral extractive industries. Food and beverage industry Textile and clothing industry. Leather and footwear industry. Wood and cork industry. Paper industry, publishing, graphic arts and reproduction of recorded media. Rubber and plastic materials processing industry. Industries of other non-metallic mineral products. Cement industry and derivatives. Metallurgy and manufacturing of metal products. Machinery and mechanical equipment construction industry. Electrical, electronic and optical material and equipment industry. Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers. Manufacture of other transport material. Various manufacturing industries. Vehicle repair workshops. Shipbuilding. b) List of activities included in the industry support services sector, provided that such activities are carried out for the industrial sector and on a regular basis: Innovation services and technological development. Industrial maintenance and maintenance services. Specialized industrial cleaning services, industrial waste management and recovery of industrial products. Port services. Warehouses and storage of merchandise. Forest services. Testing, analysis and certification laboratories. Surveys and prospecting. c) List of activities included in the priority sectors and priority technological areas contemplated in the Cantabria Smart Specialization Strategy 2021-2027: Priority sectors: Machinery and automotive components. Agri-food. Metal transformation. Chemistry. Biotechnology. Maritime engineering. Satellite and radio frequency communications. Cross-cutting technological areas: Information and communications technology (ICT) services. Nanotechnology. Advanced manufacturing. d) Activities that have any of the following characteristics: That operate in high-tech or emerging industrial sectors such as the following, by way of example, but not limited to: biomedicine, biochemistry, pharmacology, micro and bioelectronics, smart manufacturing, advanced materials, biomaterials, sensors, applications in efficient energy systems. That they operate in the services sector and the new activity is based on the development of the information society, innovation, new technologies and energy efficiency. 2. Likewise, foundations and associations may have the status of beneficiary, provided that they carry out a commercial activity under the conditions required for companies. Second. Purpose. The INNOVA line of subsidies aims to encourage innovation in the business environment by supporting industrial research projects, experimental development and feasibility studies whose final objective is new products, processes and/or services. 1. Eligible expenses are divided into the following chapters: a) Personnel expenses directly related to the project for the three types of eligible actions established in article 5 of Order IND/23/2023, of March 20, which establishes the bases. b) The costs of acquiring instruments and materials whose useful life is adjusted to the duration of the project or/and the rental costs of the aforementioned instruments and materials in this same period as long as they are dedicated exclusively to the project. c) The costs of contractual research, knowledge and patents acquired or obtained by license from external sources under arm's length conditions, as well as the costs of consulting and equivalent services destined exclusively for the project. d) Specifically for projects with relief
