Specific call for subsidies aimed at individual aid for collective school transport for socioeconomic and geographical needs for the 2026/2027 academic year

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries The beneficiaries of school transportation aid are the students who meet the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in an educational center in the La Selva region supported by public funds from Catalonia (second and third courses of the first cycle of early childhood education, in those schools owned by the Generalitat where it has been implemented, and any of the courses of the second cycle of early childhood education and compulsory education), who are users of the collective school transportation service during the course. 2026/27 and the free service does not correspond to them. b) Is enrolled in a center following the school map and/or affiliation center, established by the Department of Education and Vocational Training. c) In addition, it will be necessary for them to reside in municipalities where the city council has signed the collaboration agreement with the La Selva Regional Council for Non-Compulsory School Transport (TNO), in relation to their level of studies and/or educational center. Students of any type of post-compulsory education are excluded from this line of aid. Applicants for transportation aid are the father, mother, guardian or legal representative of the student or students. Second. Purpose The purpose of this call is the granting of individual aid for collective school transportation for socioeconomic and geographical needs, in accordance with the budgetary provision, for students of second cycle early childhood education, primary education and secondary education in the La Selva region, to guarantee the principle of equal opportunities for people who are socioeconomically unfavorable. Third. Regulatory bases This call will be governed by the regulatory bases published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona, number 74, dated April 16, 2024 Fourth. Amount The global amount that the Regional Council will allocate to individual travel aid will not exceed the amount transferred for this concept by the Department of Education. Fifth. Presentation deadline: The Regional Council will publish the edict calling for aid in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and on the Regional Council's e-board. For the aid to be applicable in the first quarter of the course, they must be requested no later than June 1 (except in the cases of students who will take I3, when this date will be extended until July 17, due to their later registration). Applications received between June 2 and November 30 and resolved favorably will be applied from the first day of the second quarter of the course. Applications received between December 1 and March 10 and are resolved favorably will be applied from the first day of the third quarter of the course. Sixth.
