Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries That the student is enrolled in the center determined by the Department of Education and Professional Training of the Generalitat of Catalonia. And who is in one of the following situations: 1. MANDATORY AID Who is enrolled in an educational center outside the municipality in which he or she resides due to a lack of educational provision, does not have a school transportation service and has a distance equal to or greater than 3 km (in one direction only) from the place where he or she resides to the educational center. That he is enrolled in an educational center outside the municipality where he resides due to a lack of educational provision and that in order to use compulsory school transport he must travel from his home to the nearest stop with a distance equal to or greater than 3 km (in one direction). 2. NON-OBLIGATORY AID That you reside in the same municipality where the educational center of enrollment is located, that this municipality does not have a school transportation service managed by the Regional Council of La Selva, that the distance between your home and the educational center is equal to or greater than 3 km (in a single direction of travel) and that the family unit does not exceed the economic thresholds established in these bases. That the school where the student is enrolled, even if it is not their reference center by educational zone, is located at a shorter distance from their home than the center that would correspond to their residence and that the family unit does not exceed the economic thresholds established in these bases. Second. Purpose The purpose of this call is the granting of individual travel aid (AID's) for socioeconomic and geographical needs, in accordance with the budget provision, for compulsory education students who must travel to a teaching center far from their residence address. Third. Regulatory bases This call will be governed by the regulatory bases published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona, number 74, dated April 16, 2024 Fourth. Amount of mandatory AIDs: €0.30 for each kilometer of distance between the home and the educational center (or nearest school bus stop) Non-mandatory AIDs: €0.20 for each kilometer of distance between the home and the educational center (or nearest school bus stop) Fifth. Submission period The Regional Council will publish the edict calling for aid in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) and in the e-tauler of the Regional Council. The application submission period will begin the day after its publication in the BOP and will remain open until December 31, 2026.
