RULES OF THE CALL FOR THE VI NATIONAL POETRY PRIZE CITY OF LUCENA “LARA CANTIZANI” The prize aims to preserve the figure of Manuel Lara Cantizani as a poet and precursor of the dissemination of established and emerging authors of literature in the Spanish language. The objective of the award is to preserve the figure of Manuel Lara Cantizani as a poet and precursor of the dissemination of established and emerging authors of literature in the Spanish language. FIRST. All people over 18 years of age (on the date of publication of the call) and residents of the national territory may participate. The works presented will be written in Spanish and must be 85% original and unpublished, and a maximum of 15% may have been published in literary magazines or in some digital media. Whoever participates, if they win the prize, undertakes to attend the award ceremony or, in any case, to send a person to represent them only due to major causes or illness. Likewise, it is reported that travel, subsistence and accommodation expenses will be the responsibility of the winner. SECOND. Three modalities are established: MODALITY A, People over 18 years of age. Theme and free form. The works must have a minimum of 400 verses and a maximum of 700. With a line spacing of 1.5 and on one side only. Furthermore, on each page of the collection of poems the number of verses that have been recorded so far must be reflected. -MODALITY B, People aged between 14 and 35 years. In this category you can only send a work of 17 haikus or some of their varieties (senryus, hokkus or mükis). -MODALITY C, People over 18 years of age. In this category only between 1 to 7 haikus can be sent. Theme about the Jewish Lucena, Pearl of Sefarad. A maximum of one work may be submitted for each modality. THIRD. ONE PRIZE is established for each modality: MODALITY A. LARA CANTIZANI PRIZE VI National Poetry Prize City of Lucena Lara Cantizani: 3000 EUROS AND EDITION OF THE WORK MODALITY B. HAIKU PROMETEO. Youth Prize: 300 EUROS MODALITY C. HAIKU SEFARDÍ. Sephardic Prize: €300 The prizes will be subject to taxes or withholdings in force according to law, unless exemption is granted by the competent body of the Tax Administration. QUARTER. The application for participation will preferably be submitted through a general instance in the Entry Registry of the Electronic Headquarters of the Lucena City Council: (https://www.aytolucena.es/lucena/tramites). The application will indicate the MODALITY (A, B, or C) to which it is submitted and a file must be attached that will contain the following documents in pdf: –A first document, which will contain the work for which the competition is being held. The file name will be called the same as the work presented. –A second document that should be called escrow. Its content will detail the name, surname, age, address, telephone number, email address and brief bibliography of the author. You cannot use a pseudonym. Both files will be guarded by the Culture Delegation of the Lucena City Council (Córdoba). In the event that the necessary technical means are not available to submit the application through electronic means, the documentation may be submitted in any of the places provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure. Likewise, they may be physically presented at the registry of the Lucena City Council or through ordinary mail (addressed to: Lucena Municipal Library. Calle Flores de Negrón, 5. 14900 Lucena (Córdoba), indicating “VI Ciudad de Lucena Lara Cantizani Poetry Prize”. In both cases, an envelope will be presented with the work and indicating which modality it participates in, along with another closed envelope inside it, which will contain the escrow with personal data. If you send the work by non-electronic means, you will have to send 6 copies of the work. For any questions regarding the form of presentation of the work or works, you can contact us by email. FIFTH. The deadline for submitting applications for participation will be three months from the publication of this Call in the National Subsidies Database, through the BOP of Córdoba and in the Notice Board of the Municipal Electronic Headquarters.
