Official description of the call
EDICT Approved, by Mayor's Resolution No. 2026-0804 of April 14, the Rules, the call and the composition of the jury, for the election of the Queen of the Fira d'Agost 2026 of Xàtiva, are exposed to the public for the presentation of applications from applicants, taking into account the following: RULES First. Be a woman from Xàtiva, have habitual residence in Xàtiva or be registered in Xàtiva. Second. Be over 18 years old. Third. Express your candidacy by submitting the application at the entrance registration of the Xàtiva City Council through the electronic headquarters https://xativa.sedelectronica.es/. If you present a candidacy for Queen of the Fair, you will not be able to appear as the lady of another candidate for Queen and vice versa. Quarter. The application must necessarily include the names, surnames and ID of the Queen and the Court of Honor of the candidate, made up of four women and five accompanying persons and who will have to abide by these same bases. Fifth. The registration period will end on May 11, 2026 inclusive. No application submitted after the established deadline will be accepted. This period may be extended for special reasons. Sixth. No academic qualification or any other circumstance that conditions equal opportunities for the women of Xàtiva is required to apply for the position of Fair Queen. Seventh. The Xàtiva City Council will provide financial aid of 3,000.00 euros to the Queen of the Fair, 1,500.00 euros to each of the ladies and 500 euros to each of the accompanying persons, clean amounts to be received after making withholdings according to current tax regulations. Octave. The personal conditions that will distinguish the selected candidate will be determined by the jury. Likewise, I propose that the composition of the Jury that will act in the election of the Queen of the Fira d'Agost 2026 be approved: PRESIDENT: - Mayor or councilor to whom he/she delegates. MEMBERS: - Spokespersons for the political groups of the City Council or councilor to whom they delegate. - Queen of the Fair from the previous year. - Two representatives of local entities freely designated by the Department of Festive Culture - Head of Protocol of the Xàtiva City Council or person to whom they delegate. - Fair 2026 Coordinator. SECRETARY: - Administrative staff of the Department of Festive Culture.
