Official description of the call
By Presidential Decree no. 2026PRES000357 of April 15, 2026, the Regional Council of Pla de l'Estany, has approved the regulatory bases of the call for the granting of individual financial aid for school meals aimed at compulsory education and early childhood education students enrolled in a public or subsidized private center in the Pla de l'Estany region for the 2026-2027 academic year. First. Beneficiaries Students who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this school cafeteria aid: a) Have residence in Catalonia. b) Be enrolled, during the corresponding course, in one of the educational centers of the Pla del Estany supported by public funds in which the school cafeteria service is provided and be studying the second or third year of the first cycle of preschool education, in those schools owned by the Generalitat where it has been implemented, or be studying the second cycle of preschool education, primary education or compulsory secondary education (ESO) c) Not have the cafeteria service on a mandatory and, therefore, free basis, and want to use the service. d) Not being in residential care. The persons requesting the dining aid are the father, mother, guardian or legal representative of the student or students. Due to the nature of the aid and the specificity of the group, to be a beneficiary of the aid it is not necessary to prove compliance with the requirements established in article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies. Second. Purpose The purpose of these bases is the granting of school meal aid to compulsory education and early childhood education students enrolled in a public or privately funded center in the Pla de l'Estany region to which the free service does not apply. Third. Amount In this call, a maximum total amount is allocated in accordance with the available credits of 1,243,639.68 euros. Room. Deadline for submitting applications The general deadline for processing applications is established between May 11, 2026 and May 29, 2026, both inclusive, and for students who enroll in the 2026-2027 academic year, the duration of the period is 10 business days from when they formalize their enrollment. Likewise, new requests for dining assistance may also be attended to throughout the course, once the established submission period has ended or when any of the following family situations occur, requiring the admission of the request or the review of the initial situation of their file: a) Newly enrolled students. b) Cases of unexpected situations that require the assistance of duly motivated social services and family units whose economic situation has been seriously affected due to force majeure, are duly justified and also require the assistance of social services. - Link for more information and standard application model available on the Consell's website https://www.plaestany.cat/Les-%C3%A0rees/Educaci%C3%B3/Ajuts-de-menjador Banyoles, as of the date of the electronic signature The president of the Comarca Consell
