Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries: Municipalities with less than 2,000 inhabitants and smaller local entities in the province of Alicante that have a composter or municipal composting center in their territorial area will be eligible for the Call. Second.- Purpose: The purpose of this call is to cooperate with municipalities with less than 2,000 inhabitants and smaller local entities in the province of Alicante in the acquisition of a pruning shredder intended for the processing of pruning remains for use as structuring material in municipal composters. The subsidized actions will be carried out by the beneficiary municipalities through an administrative contract according to Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts. Only one crusher will be subsidized per beneficiary local entity. Third.- Regulatory bases: General Subsidies Ordinance approved by the Plenary in a session dated 12/19/2025 and published in BOP number 11 dated 01/19/2026 Fourth.- Amount: For this call for subsidies, a financial allocation of 50,000.00 euros is foreseen. The maximum total amount of aid to be granted is 2,500.00 euros (VAT included), included in the Budget of the Provincial Council of Alicante. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, which will be carried out through the National Subsidies Database, once the Provincial Council has communicated the text of the call and the information required for its publication, as provided in article 20.8.a) of the LGS. Sixth.- Other information: The processing and presentation of the application, together with the documentation required in this call, will be carried out only through the Electronic Headquarters of the Provincial Council of Alicante. The following documentation must be attached to the application: - A responsible declaration from the Mayor - President of the local entity (Annex I), stating whether a municipal composting center is available, whether the selective collection of the organic fraction is carried out, whether the municipal composting center is in operation and whether the previous year it was a beneficiary of this same call.
