First.- Object. Call for, on a competitive basis, subsidies aimed at financing innovative actions in environmental education in Castilla y León. Second.- Beneficiaries. 1. The following may obtain the status of beneficiaries of the subsidies called for in this order: Town councils and associations of less than 20,000 inhabitants of Castilla y León. To determine the population, the official population figures resulting from the review of the Municipal Register as of January 1, 2025 of the National Statistics Institute will be taken as a reference. In the case of associations, it will be determined by the sum of the population of all the municipalities that comprise it. Private, non-profit entities and associations, validly constituted, that have their registered office in Castilla y León. Those who prove they have a work center in Castilla y León from which they develop environmental education programs or activities aimed at the population of the Autonomous Community may also be beneficiaries. 2. The beneficiary entities will be subject to the obligations that, in general, are established in article 14 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Third.- Regulatory bases. By ORDER MAV/1408/2025, of December 4, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies for the financing of innovative environmental education actions in Castilla y León, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León No. 240, of December 15, 2025, the regulatory bases of this call were established. Fourth.- Amount. The subsidies awarded under this call will be charged to the General Budgets of the Community of Castilla y León for an amount of 328,000 euros. The credit corresponding to this call may be extended by an additional amount not exceeding 100% of the credits initially called, whose application to the granting of the subsidies will not require a new call or extension or opening of the deadline for the submission of applications, in accordance with article 16.3 of the Law. 5/2008, September 25. Fifth.- Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be one month from the day following the publication of this extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León.
