Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries Young people between 18 and 35 years old registered in the municipality of Getxo who form a cohabiting unit, whose rental contract has a minimum duration of one year. In addition, their income in fiscal year 2024 must be greater than 3,000 euros and must not exceed 29,784 euros individually (for applicants who make up cohabitation units of type A and B) or 46,463 euros between them (for applicants who make up cohabitation unit type C). Neither the applicant nor, where applicable, the other person who makes up the type C cohabitation unit, must own housing or surface or usufruct rights (except for exceptions provided for in the regulatory bases). Second.- Object The purpose of this call is to support young people in their process of emancipation and incorporation into the adult world and to promote access to and permanence in rental housing in all areas of the municipality of Getxo. Third.- Regulatory bases The regulatory bases of the subsidies have been approved by Agreement of the Local Government Board dated May 19, 2026 and will be published in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia on the same day as the call. Fourth.- Amount The amount intended to cover these subsidies amounts to a maximum total amount of 200,000 (two hundred thousand) euros. Exceptionally, an additional amount of 50,000 (fifty thousand) euros may be available, always conditional on the declaration of credit availability and, where appropriate, prior approval of the appropriate budget modification, at a time prior to the resolution of the granting of the subsidy. Said declaration of available credits as well as their final distribution will be published in the same media as the call, without such publicity implying the opening of the period to submit new applications or the start of a new calculation of the period to resolve. The amount to be granted for each beneficiary will be at least 20% and up to a maximum of 50% for rental expenses (excluding those corresponding to annexes, such as garage or storage room, community and administration expenses), which in any case may not exceed the amount of 550 euros per month, except for the exceptional case provided for in the bases. It will be paid in full if it is the first call from the Getxo City Council in which you are a beneficiary of rental aid for young people, reducing it to 75% of the corresponding amount if you are a beneficiary of rental aid for young people for the second time, and to 50%, if it is for the third time. Fifth.- Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications for rental expenses borne from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 will begin the day following the publication of this call in the Official Gazette of Bizkaia and will end on June 30, 2026.
