Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Base http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index, and on the website of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council http://www.vitoria-gasteiz.org. First. Purpose Establish the conditions that will govern the granting of aid, on a competitive basis, to natural or legal persons or legally constituted entities that carry out activities related to the organization of congresses and events in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and the creation and promotion of new products and tourist experiences. The call will be processed through the competitive competition procedure, divided into three lines of subsidy: 1. Organization of conferences whose headquarters are Vitoria-Gasteiz. 2. Organization of events whose headquarters are Vitoria-Gasteiz. 3. Creation and promotion of new products and tourist experiences that promote the image of the city as a sustainable tourist destination. Second. Beneficiaries Natural or legal persons and legally constituted entities with social and tax domicile in Vitoria-Gasteiz (in lines 1 and 2, social and tax domicile in Vitoria-Gasteiz will not be required when the minimum number of participating people is 150 for congresses and 300 for events, the origin of the participating people is at least 30 percent from outside the Basque Country and its neighboring provinces and communities, and the minimum duration be 2 consecutive days for congresses and events; on line 3 when the new tourist product or experience is implemented in Vitoria-Gasteiz). Third. Bases The Plenary Session of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, in its ordinary session on April 21, 2023, agreed to initially approve the general subsidy ordinance of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, which was finally published in the Official Gazette of the Historical Territory of Álava (BOTHA number 88, of July 28, 2023), and came into force on October 1, 2023. This ordinance aims to establish the general regulatory bases of the procedure for granting subsidies granted by the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. On May 8, 2026, the Local Government Board approved the bases for the call for aid for the organization of congresses and events in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and for the creation and promotion of new tourist products and experiences that promote the image of the city as a sustainable tourist destination for the year 2026. Both can be consulted through the municipal website www.vitoria-gasteiz.org and in the citizen service offices. Room. Amount The financial allocation of this call for aid is 130,000.00 euros, charged to the balance available in item 0826.4333.47104 of the municipal budget approved for the year 2026, called Local Development Office, City Promotion, distributed in 60,000.00 euros for line 1, 40,000.00 euros for line 2 and 30,000 euros for line 3. The maximum amount of aid is 50 percent of the admitted expenses, with a maximum subsidy limit of 10,000.00 euros for each of the projects presented. Fifth. Deadline for submission of applications From the day following the publication of the call in the BOTHA, and will end within one month. Each company must make a request for each project and for each help line (maximum two projects per line).
