Official description of the call
In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdns/index). First. Beneficiaries Associations, foundations and non-profit entities, with a track record that accredits their work in the protection, revitalization, promotion of knowledge and the values of the Camino de Santiago, that carry out their activity both inside and outside of Galicia, may participate. These entities must have a proven track record of at least five years of effective operation in achieving the objectives established in the call. People who meet some of the circumstances provided for in article 10.2 and 10.3 of Law 9/2007, of June 13, on Galician subsidies, or those who have been awarded the Elías Valiña Prize in the five previous calls, will not be able to obtain the status of beneficiaries. Second. Purpose This order aims to call for and establish the regulatory bases for the granting of the Elías Valiña Prize, to distinguish the work to revitalize the values of the Caminos de Santiago as an institutional and social recognition of the effort to protect and promote knowledge and the values of the Caminos de Santiago, by associations, foundations and non-profit entities that include these purposes in their corporate purpose (procedure code CT141A). It also includes the possibility for the jury to propose a special mention, without a financial award, to a natural person who, due to their sensitivity and interest, has contributed with their life career to the promotion of the cultural values of the Caminos de Santiago. This mention can only be awarded individually. The prize may be awarded individually or shared, or declared void. Third. Regulatory bases Order of May 21, 2026 establishing the regulatory bases for the granting, on a competitive basis, of the Elías Valiña Award to distinguish the revitalizing work of the values of the Caminos de Santiago, and calling for its XXVII edition for the year 2026 (procedure code CT141A). Room. Amount The call is made under budget application 13.04.433A.781.0, which is included in the expenses budget of the Department of Culture, Language and Youth within the general budgets of the Autonomous Community of Galicia for 2026, for a maximum amount of €15,000 (fifteen thousand euros). Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting candidatures will be one month, counting from the day following the publication of this resolution in the Official Gazette of Galicia. The last day of the deadline will be understood to be the day corresponding to the same ordinal day of publication. If the last day of the period is a non-business day, it will be understood to be extended to the first following business day and, if in the expiration month there is no day equivalent to the initial day of the calculation, it will be understood that the period expires on the last day of the month. The request will be addressed to the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Department of Culture, Language and Youth.
