In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3b and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the “National Subsidies Database” (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans): DIPUTACIÓN DE TARRAGONA Municipal Concertation and Assistance Area Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Tarragona in session on June 2, 2026 has approved the following call: First. Beneficiaries All local entities in the regions of Tarragona can be beneficiaries and the project and/or action is led and executed by the local entity. Second. Object and purpose The object and purpose is to regulate the granting of the Environment Initiative Award of the Provincial Council of Tarragona. The purpose of the award is to annually recognize projects and/or actions for the protection, conservation and improvement of the environment that effectively contribute to environmental sustainability, adaptation to climate change and improvement of the quality of life in the territory of Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l'Ebre and Baix Penedès. The projects and/or actions must be framed in one of the following themes: • Adaptation and resilience to climate change. • Environmental and landscape restoration linked to the climate emergency. • Circular economy and transition towards a green and low carbon economy. • Conservation, improvement and restoration of natural heritage and biodiversity. • Sustainable management of the territory and landscape. • Integrated improvement of environmental management of resources and impacts. • Education, awareness and environmental communication. • Sustainable mobility. This call is integrated into the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Provincial Council of Tarragona and its autonomous bodies, mandate 2023-2027 (Annex 1b, April 2026), Axis 03 "Sustainability, preservation of the environment and ecological transition", and Strategic Line 6 "Promote sustainability and preservation of the environment by moving towards decarbonization", since it contributes to achieving the objectives of adaptation and mitigation of climate change, restoration environmental and landscape and the circular economy, based on the development of urban sustainability projects and in the natural and rural environment. The Environment Initiative award is awarded in a single category. Each project and/or action must be linked mainly to a single theme of those indicated and must be executed or in the execution phase at the time of submission of the application. The award is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, especially with the following: SDG 4. Quality education, SDG 6. Clean water and sanitation, SDG 7. Affordable and clean energy, SDG 11. Sustainable cities and communities, SDG 12. Responsible production and consumption promoting the circular economy, SDG 13. Climate action, SDG 15. Life on land. Third. General bases for subsidies of the Tarragona Provincial Council and its autonomous bodies By agreement of the Plenary Session of the Tarragona Provincial Council, dated December 21, 2018, the General Bases for subsidies of the Tarragona Provincial Council and its autonomous bodies were initially approved, which have become definitive and the full text has been published in the Official Gazette of the province of Tarragona, on February 27, 2019. Fourth. Budget credit and maximum total amount Budget credit to which the prize is allocated: • Budget application: 2026-1000-172-46201 The maximum total amount of the prize is 20,000.00 euros, with the following maximum awards: • Prize: 15,000.00 euros. • Second prize: 5,000.00 euros. These maximum amounts may be expanded and/or redistributed according to the requests received and budget availability. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications electronically is from the day following the publication of the call to the BOPT and until September 30, 2026. Sixth. Form of submission of applications Applications for the Award must be submitted electronically through the specific procedure available to the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Tarragona (https://seuelectronica.dipta.cat).
