ObjectiveThe objective of this call for subsidies is, on the one hand, the need to promote responsibility among citizens in the ownership of domestic animals, especially with regard to the identification and sterilization of privately owned pets; and, on the other hand, reduce abandonment, improve public health and promote coexistence in common spaces. Beneficiaries Natural persons who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this aid: • Be of legal age or, in the cases of non-emancipated minor owners, the applicant/beneficiary will be the guardian. • Be registered in the municipality of Pollença. • Be legal owners of the animal(s) that are the subject of the application. Financial allocation and modalities The total amount allocated to this call is 7,650 euros. The maximum amounts to be awarded per animal will be the following: • Microchip implantation: up to €35.00. • Surgical sterilization: ◦ Female: up to €100.00. ◦ Male: up to €50.00.
