Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: The person requesting this aid must be the father, mother or legal guardian of the student who is studying the second cycle of early childhood or primary education. Only one companion per student can benefit from this aid. People in whom any of the circumstances included in article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, cannot obtain the status of beneficiaries of this aid. Applicants for these aids will have to comply with the following requirements: • The student and the applicant will have to be registered in Mataró. • The student must have been officially assigned to a center that is more than one kilometer from their home. • The student will have to be studying the second cycle of early childhood education (Y-3, Y-4 and Y-5) or primary education (from 1st to 6th). • The student will have to be considered a student with Educational Needs for Educational Support (NESE), accredited by the Department of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia. • The father and mother or guardians of the student must be up to date with compliance with their tax obligations, with Social Security and with the Mataró City Council, before the aid is granted and until its payment. In accordance with what is established in the Execution Bases of the municipal budget for subsidies of less than €3,000.00, a responsible declaration of no debts with the Tax Agency and with the Social Security Treasury will be sufficient. Second. Purpose: The purpose of these bases is the regulation of the granting of aid, within the limits established in the current municipal budget, for school transportation for early childhood and primary education students corresponding to the 2026-2027 academic year. One of the objectives of the Admission Guarantees Commission is to ensure the balanced schooling of students with Specific Educational Support Needs (NESE) among all the centers in the municipality. Sometimes this distribution involves a trip of a kilometer or more from the usual place of residence at the assigned school. In these cases, the Mataró City Council wants to contribute to the achievement of this objective, regulating the granting of aid for school transportation for Mataró students in the second cycle of early childhood or primary education, for the 2026-2027 academic year. Third. Regulatory Bases: You can consult the text of the Regulatory Bases and obtain the application form on the City Council website: www.mataro.cat. Room. Amount: The maximum amount allocated to the granting of these aids for the 2026-2027 academic year is 1500.00, charged to budget item 850503/326200/48902 - Subsidies to female students for school transport from the budget of the Education Service of the Mataró City Council. Of this amount, €450.00 are for the year 2026 (from October to December) and €1050.00 are for the year 2027 (from January to June). As for the year 2027, subject this amount to the condition precedent of the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the aforementioned budget. The card that will give the right to be a beneficiary of the aid will be the T-usual 1 zone title, or equivalent, also in its version for large family and/or single-parent family, whether general or special. Aid will only be granted for one card in the month per family from 09/08/2026 to 06/21/2027. Once the requirements to be beneficiaries have been verified, the Mataró City Council will provide a 100% discount on the amount of the card presented. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline established for submitting applications for school transportation aid for the 2026-2027 academic year will be a maximum of two months from the date on which the title ceases to be valid; except for the title valid during the month of June, which must be presented, at most, until July 31, 2027, this included. Applications submitted after the deadline will result in their inadmissibility and archiving. Applications may be submitted electronically through the electronic headquarters of the Mataró City Council or in person at the Citizen Assistance and Service Offices.
