Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries Those people who: Effectively perform the functions of the Data Protection Delegate in an entity or organization in the public or private sector may participate in the "Award for the work of the Data Protection Delegate." They present the candidacy in their personal capacity, in their own name, as those responsible for the project or actions developed within the framework of their functions as DPD. They prove that they are registered in the Registry of Data Protection Delegates of the Spanish Data Protection Agency or of the Autonomous Control Authorities on the date on which the actions under assessment were carried out. Second.- Object Its objective is to recognize projects, initiatives, actions and good practices developed within the framework of the functions of the Data Protection Delegate that represent a significant and innovative contribution in any of the following aspects: Promotion and effective supervision of regulatory compliance regarding data protection. Promotion of the institutional culture of privacy in organizations. Training of organization personnel. Promotion of the active participation of the community of professionals and the dissemination of good practices in the professional field. Third.- Regulatory bases Resolution, of July 8, 2026, of the Spanish Data Protection Agency by which the regulatory bases are approved and the Award for the work of the Data Protection Delegate is announced, for the year 2026, published on the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Fourth.- Award The «Award for the work of the Data Protection Delegate will have two modalities: public sector and private sector. The prize consists of a financial award of three thousand euros (€3,000.00) and a second prize of one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00), in each of the modalities, in addition to a diploma and a trophy accrediting the recognition obtained. Likewise, within each modality, the Jury may propose an award "ex aequo" to two candidates. In this case, neither the prize nor the second prize would be awarded and the financial award will be two thousand two hundred and fifty euros (€2,250.00) for each winning candidate. Likewise, the award may be declared void if it is considered that none of the candidates has sufficient merit to be awarded. Fifth.- Application submission deadline Applications must be submitted from the day following the date of publication of these bases in the Official State Gazette. The deadline for submitting works will end on October 15, 2026.
