Official description of the call

First.- Beneficiaries The award is announced in two modalities. They will be eligible for the award: In modality A: educational centers, teachers, learning communities, universities and student or teaching associations. In modality B: research groups, organizations, associations, foundations, platforms, researchers, research groups that develop innovative initiatives in training and privacy culture aimed at citizens. Second.- Object Its objective is to reward initiatives (programs, teaching resources, methodologies, awareness campaigns, good practices...) that promote the knowledge and exercise of the fundamental right to data protection in the digital environment in the different educational and social fields, especially in the use of artificial intelligence. Third.- Regulatory bases Resolution, of July 8, 2026, of the Spanish Data Protection Agency by which the regulatory bases are approved and the Award for the work of the Data Protection Delegate is announced, for the year 2026, published on the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Fourth.- Prize The prize consists of a financial award of three thousand euros (€3,000.00) and a second prize of one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00) in each of the modalities, if the winning candidates correspond to a natural person or private entity. Likewise, and within each modality, the Jury may propose an award "ex aequo" to two candidates. In this case neither the prize nor the second prize would be awarded. The financial award will be, in this case, two thousand two hundred and fifty euros (€2,250.00) for each winning application. Fifth.- Application submission deadline Applications must be submitted from the day following the date of publication of these bases in the Official State Gazette. The deadline for submitting works will end on October 15, 2026.
