Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries Only natural persons, or groups of natural persons in the case of collaborative profiles, residing in Spain, with a public and open profile on one or more social networks and who, through these profiles and the publications they make, have demonstrated their commitment to the defense and dissemination of the fundamental right to the protection of personal data, may take part in the call. In the case of a collaborative profile, the request must be signed by all its members. To do this, if necessary, they must provide said subscription for all of them through the corresponding additional documentation that will be attached as established in the second section of the application that is provided to this call as Annex 1. Second.- Object The objective is to reward profiles on social networks that: Make an outstanding contribution to the promotion and dissemination among citizens of the principles of the fundamental right to the protection of personal data. Contribute to promoting the awareness of those who handle personal information about their responsibilities in guaranteeing this right. Those public profiles (open) on social networks in which the owners and/or authors, individually or collectively, are openly identified and stated, and who through the profiles have been characterized by a firm commitment to the promotion and dissemination of the fundamental right to data protection, may be worthy of this award. In any case, the profile must be public and open, so that there is no need to be accepted to have access to its content. Third.- Regulatory bases Resolution, of July 8, 2026, of the Spanish Data Protection Agency by which the regulatory bases are approved and the Award for the work of the Data Protection Delegate is announced, for the year 2026, published on the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es). Fourth.- Prize The prize will consist of a financial award of three thousand euros (€3,000.00). The jury may propose the award of a second prize of one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00). In the event that the jury declares the prize void, it may propose granting an additional second prize worth one thousand five hundred euros (€1,500.00). Fifth.- Application submission deadline Applications must be submitted from the day following the date of publication of these bases in the Official State Gazette. The deadline for submitting works will end on October 15, 2026.
