RULES OF THE CALL FOR THE AWARDS FOR THE ORNIS RACE OF THE FESTIVAL MAYOR, 2026 1. OBJECT AND PURPOSE These bases regulate the prizes for the Ornis Race that takes place during the events of the FESTIVAL MAYOR, 2026. The granting of the prizes is governed by the general bases of subsidies established in the General Subsidy Regulations of the Bellvei City Council, approved by Plenary of 10/19/2017 (BOPT no. 10 of January 15, 2018) and Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies and its Regulations as well as by Law 19/2014 of December 29 on transparency, access to public information and good governance. The Bellvei City Council wants to promote the creativity and participation of children and adults in the popular culture of our municipality. This Ornis race has been part of the cultural events of our municipality for more than 25 years. With these bases, the conditions and procedures are defined to be able to participate in the Ornis Race of the 2026 Festival. 2.- AWARDING PROCEDURE The procedure for granting the prizes is that of competitive competition, according to article 22 of Law 38/2003 of November 17, General of Subsidies. 3. REQUIREMENTS OF THE CANDIDATES AND EVALUATION CRITERIA The Bellvei City Council through the Department of Culture, to promote creativity and participation in the events of the Festival: 1. You can participate in this race in any way and size as long as it moves on wheels, of any type. They have to be items built especially for this race. Motor vehicle chassis cannot be used. You can participate with the same structure built in other years, but the exterior appearance has to be modified. 2. To participate in this race it is not necessary to have approved the device at the Santa Oliva automobile test track or to have passed the ITV, but before starting the race the organization reserves the right to force the removal of those elements that may be unsafe or cause a high risk for spectators. 3. All ORNIS must move with the help of wheels (at least 3). The support axles of the wheels cannot be connected with additional propulsion systems such as chains or pedals, that is, the objects can only move by the force of the inertia of the circuit and by the propulsion of the arms and legs of the crew member(s). 4. The ORNI will have to be manned by at least one person and the maximum number of team members will be four people. There will always be at least one person piloting the device. The other members can get out of the vehicle to boost it in case of slowdown, accident or other circumstances. The ORNI can only be pushed by the members of the team. If an ORNI is pushed by a member of another team, the descent of the two teams involved would be cancelled. 5. It is strictly prohibited for spontaneous help by the ORNI to move during the entire timed route. If this were to occur, the drop would be considered void. 6. It is not necessary for all team members to start the journey to the starting line. A component can be at any point along the route to help push, if necessary, and if desired, it is not necessary for everyone to reach the finish line, where it is mandatory that the device arrive with at least one crew member. 7. ORNIS may be built with any material. It is preferable that the device has a steering wheel or handlebar connected to the steering wheel axle of the ORNI and a mandatory braking system. 8. All members of the team who climb ORNI during the entire route or part of it will have to be equipped with a helmet of the type used when riding a bicycle or motorcycle. It is recommended that you also wear knee pads and elbow pads. 9. To be able to participate, you must have registered before August 7, 2026 at the La Patronal civic center, the town hall. To register, you must bring the completed registration form and a copy of the DNI (both sides) of the person responsible for the ORNI. In the case of the Children's and Junior categories, an adult must be responsible, and the certificate of bank ownership in the name of the person responsible. 10. There will be three categories.
