Official description of the call
First.- Purpose, lines of help and scope of action. In accordance with Order TED/818/2021, of July 12, this call aims to co-finance activities that contribute to an ecological transition that, through scientific knowledge, address the challenge of climate change and the conservation of natural heritage. The specific purpose of the call is to support the conditioning and adaptation of interior spaces destined to become climate shelters and integrate into the Network of Climate Shelters, through three different lines of help: -Line A), for the adaptation of equipment as individual shelters. -Line B), for the adaptation of equipment for the creation of shelter networks. -Line C), to improve the climate adaptation of educational centers enabled as shelters. The scope of action of the activity subject to the subsidies will be the entire national territory. Second. – Beneficiary entities. Depending on the help line, the entities that will be able to obtain beneficiary status for these subsidies will be differentiated. -For line A): -Public and private non-profit entities and organizations. -Public administrations. -Public research organizations. -Public universities. -Professional colleges. -For lines B) and C) the Public Administrations may obtain beneficiary status. To obtain beneficiary status, entities must be holders of real rights that allow them to carry out the activity that is the subject of the subsidy and that allow them to prove the availability of the spaces intended for climate shelters, including owners in full ownership, tenants or those that hold any right of use or concession. Third.- Funding, co-financing and execution period The maximum overall funding for the call is up to €10,000,000.00, divided into three lines of aid: -Line A) will have a maximum funding of €2,000,000.00. In line A) the maximum aid to be requested per proposal will be €50,000.00. -Line B) will have a maximum amount of €3,000,000.00. In line B) the maximum amount of aid to be requested per proposal will be €300,000.00. -Line C) will have a maximum amount of €5,000,000.00. In line C) the maximum amount of aid to be requested per proposal will be €250,000.00. The maximum subsidy percentage will be 80% for the three lines of help. The execution period for the actions will begin after the date of publication of the resolution of the call and will end on September 30, 2029, extensions included, in the case of lines A) and B). For line C) the execution period will be extended until September 30, 2030. Fourth.- Regulatory bases. Order TED/818/2021, of July 12, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies from the Biodiversity Foundation, F.S.P., on a competitive basis, for the financing of research and activities that contribute to the ecological transition, to the conservation of natural heritage and to addressing climate change. Fifth.- Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will begin from the day following the date of publication of the extract of this call in the Official State Gazette, until October 15, 2026, under the terms and conditions specified in TED Order 818/2021, of July 12.
