Official description of the call
First.- Beneficiaries. Legal entities in the private sector, whether or not included in the Emissions Trading Regime of the European Union, whatever their legal form and that: a. They are validly constituted at the time of submitting the application. b. They carry out one or more activities, or manufacture products intended for commercialization and business benefit, in the sectors listed in Annex I of the Call Order. c. They have incurred costs of indirect CO2 emissions, in the year 2025, due to the indirect costs incurred in electricity supply expenses destined for production processes. Second.- Object. Compensation, in the form of a subsidy, of the indirect costs attributable to greenhouse gas emissions reflected in the electricity prices of the year 2025, in accordance with Royal Decree 309/2022 of May 3, and under the provisions of Directive (EU) 2018/410 of the European Parliament and of the Council of March 14, 2018, which modifies the Directive 2003/87/EC to step up emission reductions in a cost-effective manner and facilitate investments in low-carbon technologies. Third.- Regulatory bases. Royal Decree 309/2022, of May 3, which establishes the indirect cost compensation mechanism for industrial sectors and subsectors that are considered exposed to a significant risk of carbon leakage during the period 2021-2030. Fourth.- Amount. The maximum amount of aid that may be granted to all beneficiaries will be 600,000,000 euros. The aid will take the form of a subsidy. The maximum global amount allocated to subsidies in this call will be prorated among all their beneficiaries. Fifth.- Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications and the corresponding documentation will be twenty business days, counted from the day following the publication of the extract of the Call Order in the "Official State Gazette."
