Official description of the call

In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b) and 20.8 a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.infosubvenciones.es) and in this Official Gazette of Extremadura. First. Object. Call the Extremadura Board of Crafts contest and award prizes whose purpose is to recognise, stimulate, disseminate and reward actions that represent an interesting contribution in the field of Crafts that can be carried out in the territory of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. Second. Beneficiaries. The following may be beneficiaries of these awards: a) In the “Extremadura Artistic Crafts” award: Artisans and craftswomen may participate, as well as craft companies, including property communities and other groups without their own legal personality, registered at the end of the application submission period in the Registry of Artisans and Craft Companies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, who present their own original works. b) In the “Creative Crafts” award. Artisans and craftswomen may participate, as well as craft companies, including communities of goods and other groups without their own legal personality, registered on the date of the end of the application submission period in the Registry of Artisans and Craft Companies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, who present their own original works. c) In the “Young Crafts” award. Students of the last two years and those who graduated within the three years prior to the call for the competition may participate in degrees related to crafts taught in educational centers in Extremadura, as well as those who, being registered in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura at the date of publication of this resolution, study or have studied in centers outside the region. Third. Regulatory bases. Decree 141/2024 of November 12, which establishes the regulatory bases of the Junta de Extremadura Crafts Contest and approves the first call corresponding to the 2024 financial year. Fourth. Financial endowment. The prizes will consist of a diploma from the Government of Extremadura and a financial award for each category, the amounts of which will be the following: a) “Extremadura Artistic Craftsmanship” Prize. First prize 9,000 euros. Second prize 3,000 euros. b) “Creative Crafts” Award. First prize 6,000 euros. Second prize 2,000 euros. c) “Young Crafts” Award. First prize 5,000 euros. Fifth. Nominations and presentation of works. Candidates must present the works for subsequent evaluation by the Jury, before the end of the application submission period at the offices of the General Directorate of Competitive Intelligence and Commerce of the Ministry of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation, located at Paseo de Roma s/n, Module D, 1st Floor, 06800 Mérida (Badajoz), with the following formal specifications: a) In the case of the “Young Crafts” award, the Presentation will be made through prototypes or models in real size or scale. b) The works or the pieces that compose them, the prototypes and models, will be presented properly packaged and in the indicated place. In case of manifestly insufficient packaging, the organization reserves the right to accept or not accept the works for the competition. c) Those works in which, due to their special characteristics of size, weight or placement, they require special support, this must be provided by the craftsman himself, otherwise the adequate exhibition of the work in the competition will not be guaranteed. d) The cost of shipping and damages suffered during transportation will be borne and assumed by the participants. The works presented must be original, considering as such the works and projects of artisanal works that have not been awarded or pending a decision in any other competition, previously and in any territorial area. Each work may consist of one or more pieces that the author presents as a set.
