Official description of the call
First.- Object: The granting, on a competitive basis, of an award for the promotion of human rights, which recognizes the civic values of people or entities that have distinguished themselves for their fight for freedom and human rights and especially, of those who, unjustly, are or have been the object of persecution or suffer or have suffered arrests, convictions or punishments because of their commitment to freedom, tolerance and humanity, thus promoting in Asturian society the values of social justice and defense of human rights. Second.- Requirements: Individuals, entities or institutions distinguished by the fight for freedom and the defense of human rights may participate. Any entity or institution with headquarters or delegation in the Principality of Asturias may propose a candidacy for the award. Third.- Regulatory bases: Resolution of July 30, 2021, of the Ministry of the Presidency approving the regulatory bases for the granting of the award for the promotion of human rights (BOPA no. 158, of 17-VIII-2021). Fourth.- Prize: The prize is worth six thousand euros (€6,000.00). Fifth.- Submission period: The application submission period begins the day following the publication of this extract and ends on November 4, inclusive.
