Object, purpose and modalities of aid. 1. Through this resolution, aid is called for the holding of festivals, film clubs, competitions on cinematographic aspects, conferences, events and unique audiovisual projects, for the promotion of Valencian audiovisual productions to compete in the Goya and Oscar awards and for business and professional associations in the audiovisual sector in the Valencian Community. 2. The granting of subsidies will be carried out on a competitive basis, in accordance with article 163 of Law 1/2015, LHIS. 3. Aid will be granted in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency, objectivity, equality and non-discrimination and, through the competitive competition regime, for activities that take place between December 1, 2022 and November 30, 2023, both inclusive, except in the case of aid for actions to promote Valencian productions for their participation in the Goya and Oscar awards by production companies, in which case the period will be extended. from October 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023. 4. The modalities provided for in this call are the following: a) Aid for holding festivals. Audiovisual festivals, for the purposes of this call, are understood to be those events that meet, at least, the following characteristics: The set of projections of audiovisual works and parallel activities open to the public form an indivisible programmatic unit; Its call involves the drafting of written, prior and public bases; contain some competitive section whose prizes are awarded by a jury or by the public; Its duration is at least three days or days and its budget is at least 5,000 euros. b) Aid for the creation of film clubs. To access this aid, film club owners must organize a set of audiovisual screenings that are not part of the regular programming of a cinematographic or cultural space, for a specific period of time equal to or greater than 10 non-consecutive days, with clear objectives, and without considering competitive sections or prizes. For the purposes of this call, unique conferences, events and projects of an audiovisual nature are understood to be masterclasses, markets and other events aimed exclusively at professionals in the audiovisual sector organized by associations, city councils and other local entities, entities of their instrumental public sector and private companies, which are not part of another audiovisual activity nor are they typical and usual activities of a festival. Also considered singular projects are actions to promote Valencian productions for their participation in the Goya and Oscar awards by Valencian production companies. These activities must have a minimum budget of more than 2,000 euros. e) Aid to business associations and professionals in the audiovisual sector.
