Official description of the call
The City Council of El Sauzal, through the Delegate Councilor for Culture, calls for this year 2023 the “XIX Villa de El Sauzal Amateur Theater Festival”, to promote and promote artistic activities in favor of cultural diversity, as well as to support and encourage the dissemination, encouragement and knowledge of amateur theater in this community; and is regulated by the following: RULES 1. All associations, groups, groups of Secondary Education Institutes, universities and other groups residing in the Canary Islands and the rest of the Spanish State linked in some way to theatrical activities, on an amateur and non-profit basis, may attend this festival. Theater groups whose members are under 14 years of age will not be able to participate in the Festival. 2. Registration for the contest will be free and must be formalized, within the period that will begin on the day following the publication of this Call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and will end on September 30 of the same year, 2023, by submitting the application (Annex I) at the City Hall of El Sauzal, C/. Constitución, nº 3, C.P 38360-El Sauzal - Tenerife. Telephone 92257 0000 ext. 132 or through e-mail cultura@elsauzal.es. The groups that want to participate will have to present the registration, data of the work to be represented (Annex II) together with the responsible declaration for individuals (Annex III), as well as the following documentation: - DVD or CD in good conditions (WETRANSFER FILE of the work to be represented. The DVD/CD of the proposed works can be sent, preferably, by postal mail to the post office box indicated above, or uploaded through the website https://www.wetransfer.com/. - NIF of the representative of the group.- CIF of the group, if applicable.- Statutes of constitution of the group, if applicable.- Document accrediting the capacity with which the representative acts.- Technical Sheet of the Show according to Annex II (including lighting plan).- Photos of the work (high resolution)- Trajectory of the group- Synopsis of the work, duration and artistic file 3.The management of authorization of representation of the work to the SGAE will be the responsibility of each selected group. the documentation the authorization of representation granted by the holders of the intellectual property rights or management entity that represents them. If the work presented is of collective or own creation, it must appear on the registration form, indicating that the collection functions have not been delegated to another entity. The group will send the aforementioned authorization to the Festival Organization, within a period of 10 business days from the date of receipt of the communication of the selection. the theme as in the authors and each group will participate with the staging of a single work. The minimum duration required is 45 minutes, and the maximum duration is 75 minutes. Each group has a limited time for the assembly and disassembly of the scenery, since the performance will be shared with other groups. The selected groups must comply with the technical sound and lighting material available to the Teatro El Sauzal. submission of applications and those whose titles have been performed two years prior to the call. 5. The organization will select from among the applicants a total of eight groups that will participate in this “XIX Villa de El Sauzal Amateur Theater Festival.” This disbursement will be made once the work has been performed against an invoice signed and stamped by the participating entity. The selected groups from other islands or peninsulas must assume the costs of travel and stay during the Festival. 8. Companies from other islands will receive proof of their participation in this festival in advance to facilitate the possible application for subsidies from other public organizations. 9.
