Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. Parents or legal guardians of minors who have been prescribed optical correction and who meet the following requirements may apply for the subsidies regulated in these bases: a) Require glasses according to an accredited medical or optical report. b) That all the members that make up the applicant's family unit are registered and reside in the Municipality of Alcañiz. The family unit of the applicant will be understood as "the father, mother, guardian or person in charge of the care and protection of the minor, where applicable, single siblings under 25 years of age who live together in the family home, or those of legal age in the case of people with physical, mental or sensory disabilities. In the case of divorce, legal or de facto separation of the parents, the one of them who on the date of application did not live with the applicant will not be considered a computable member, without prejudice to the fact that "Their financial contribution is included in the family income. However, the new spouse or person united by a similar relationship will be considered a computable member, if applicable, whose income will be included in the calculation of the family income." c) To be a beneficiary of the glasses aid, it will be essential that the income of the family unit or the family's annual disposable income in 2022 does not exceed the income limits established in Annex III. d) Not have outstanding debts contracted with the City Council, the Public Treasury, the Social Security or the Regional Treasury (annex II). e) Not obtain aid from Public Administrations or Social Entities for the same purpose (Annex II). f) Not be involved in any file for the reimbursement of public subsidies as a result of failure to comply with the purposes of the aid obtained or the lack of justification thereof (Annex II). g) Not be subject to any of the prohibition cases to be a beneficiary of subsidies, as established in article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies (Annex II). Second. Object. The purpose of these Rules is to regulate and establish the criteria and procedure for the application, processing, granting, collection and justification of subsidies intended to cover the expenses incurred by the purchase of glasses for minors under 18 years of age, who belong to families with limited economic resources. The purpose of this call is to favor families with fewer resources, and facilitate the acquisition of glasses to improve the visual health of the minors who live there. Third. Amount. The maximum individualized amount of the planned aid is €70 per beneficiary. The nature of the aid will be personal and non-transferable, it may not be subject to change, alteration, transfer to third parties or monetary compensation. Room. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will begin on the day following the publication in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS) and in the BOPT of these Rules, and will end on December 1, 2023, and in any case once the available budget credit is exhausted.
