Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. Spanish educational centers supported by public funds that teach any of the following teachings: early childhood education, primary education, compulsory secondary education, adult education, baccalaureate and vocational training. Second. Object. To call for the year 2023 the thirteenth edition of the “Vicente Ferrer” National Prize for Education for Development, intended for those educational centers that during the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 academic year have developed actions, educational experiences, projects or pedagogical proposals aimed at raising awareness, raising awareness, developing a critical spirit and encouraging the active participation of students in the achievement of global citizenship, supportive, committed to the eradication of poverty and its causes and human and sustainable development. Third. Regulatory bases. Order AEC/1538/2013, of July 25, which establishes the regulatory bases of the Vicente Ferrer National Education for Development Award. «BOE» number. 191, August 10, 2013, pages 58736 to 58741 (6 pages) Fourth. Amount. For the current call, expenses will be charged to budget application 12.302.07.143A.486.05 with a maximum amount of €25,000 from the current AECID expenditure budget. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty business days starting at 2:00 p.m. of the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the "Official State Gazette". Sixth. Other data. Up to a total of 15 prizes will be awarded, which will be distributed among the different educational levels following article 3 of Order AEC/1538/2013, of July 25, and based on the criteria established in section eight of this Resolution. The awards do not carry a financial award, they will consist of: - Participation in a Seminar on Exchange and Training in Good Practices in Education for sustainable development and global citizenship to be held from December 11 to 15 at the facilities of the National Center for Environmental Education (CENEAM) Valsain, Segovia, Castilla y León, Spain. The Seminar will last 40 teaching hours. - Delivery of a diploma accrediting the award of the Prize to the winning educational centers. This event will be held at the AECID headquarters in Madrid, on Friday, December 15, and this date may undergo some modification that will be notified sufficiently in advance by the AECID to the winners, and at least the participants in the seminar must attend.
