PUBLIC CALL FOR THE XVII NATIVITY CONTEST FOR NEIGHBOR ASSOCIATIONS, PEÑAS AND NGOS, CHRISTMAS 2023 OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD CARE DELEGATION.

Official description of the call

Extract from the agreement of the Local Government Board of the Chiclana de la Frontera City Council, dated April 4, 2022, which calls for the XVII Nativity Scene Contest for Neighborhood Associations, Peñas and NGOs Christmas 2023. In accordance with the provisions of Law 38/2003 of November 17, General Subsidies, Royal Decree 887/2006 of July 21, which approves the General Regulation of Subsidies and General Ordinance of Subsidies of this City Council, approved by plenary agreement dated 04/15/2019 and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 162, of 08/26/19, and in articles 25 of the LRBRL and 9 of the LAULA, and contemplated in the Strategic Subsidy Plan 2023 of this City Council, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database: 1.- All Nativity scenes carried out by Neighborhood Associations, Peñas and NGOs with headquarters in this City that wish to do so and previously request registration through the virtual window of this City Council may participate in it. 2.- Participating entities must present a responsible declaration that meets the requirements of art. 13 and 14 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003 of November 17. 3.- The originality of the assembly will be valued (use of plaster or other modeling elements, wood, cork, artistic presentation; adequate lighting; painting, appropriate placement of all elements, natural or correctly imitated landscape, etc...). With freedom of creation in terms of geographical and chronological location, characters, mills, castles, etc..., landscapes and buildings from any time and place can be represented, the placement of the figures, size, quality and state of conservation of the same, and can include natural materials and elements (moss, rocks, rosemary, thyme), rivers with moving water, articulated figures, scenes on the exterior and interior of buildings or caves, special effects or traditional materials such as cork, sawdust, silver paper, figures of crafts and animals unknown at the time, plastic trees and mixtures of figures of various sizes without any canon of harmony, as well as any other type of material. 4.- Nativity scenes can be of any size, as well as dioramas, panoramic views, etc. 5.- Artistic creation (originality, ingenuity and artistic richness), the materials used, the use of recycled elements, the effort and laboriousness in the execution of the works will be valued in all cases. 6.- The works presented must be original and unpublished, and nativity scenes, dioramas, panoramic views, etc. that have been presented in previous years in any type of competition carried out by this City Council (Brotherhoods, individuals, etc.) cannot be submitted to this contest. However, part of the used nativity scenes can be recycled, as well as figures, etc... and with a different distribution. 7.- Registration will be carried out through a virtual window, the admission period being from the publication of these rules on the notice board of this Excellency. City Hall, as well as on the municipal website and subsidiarily through electronic media and other announcements, until December 10, 2022, according to a specific model, stating the days and hours in which the Bethlehem can be visited. 8.- Designate the following members as members of the qualifying jury for this contest: - President: Ms. María Ángeles Martínez Rico. - Secretary: Mr. Antonio Arroyo Verdugo, with voice but without vote. - Members: Three members appointed by the Citizen Participation Delegation. 9.- Said jury will visit the Nativity scenes starting on December 12, 2022, communicating the day and time of visits to those registered with sufficient advance notice. 10.- The prize delivery will be communicated to the participants, establishing the day, time and place of delivery. 11.- The following are established as prizes for the contest: 1st Prize: 350 Euros and plaque. 2nd Prize: 275 Euros and plaque. 3rd Prize: 225 Euros and plaque. 4th Prize: 175 Euros and plaque. 12.- The Jury may declare void all or each of the planned prizes. 13.- THE Jury may establish second prizes for works that are considered worthy and that have not won a prize.
