CALL FOR AID TO LIVESTOCK BREEDERS' ASSOCIATIONS FOR THE PROMOTION OF SPANISH NATIVE BREEDS FOR THE YEAR 2024 IN CANTABRIA

Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. The associations of breeders of the different species recognized by Decree 14/1994, of April 28, which regulates the official recognition, by the Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, of the organizations and associations of breeders of breed animals that keep or create herd books, which as of September 30, 2023 are the following: Cattle of dairy aptitude: Pasiega. Meat-appropriate cattle: Monchina. Horses: Hispano-Breton and Monchina. Sheep: Carranzana and Carranzana black variety. Avian: Gallina Pedresa. Second. Object. 1. Aid aimed at promoting Spanish native breeds by 2024. 2. The eligible activities, to be carried out by the beneficiary entities, will be: Creation or maintenance of herd books including morphological qualification. Eligible concepts will be the expenses derived from said activity, including those of the premises or offices, computers and computer equipment and their maintenance or updating, acquisition of non-inventory office supplies and hiring and expenses of technical and administrative personnel. The maximum percentage of the aid is 100 percent, in accordance with article 27.5.c) of Regulation (EC) 2022/2472, of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. Tests intended to determine the genetic quality or performance of livestock. Those derived from the development of the officially recognized breeding program for the breed, which will include activities aimed at its in situ conservation, as well as the creation and maintenance of germplasm banks in officially authorized centers and tests aimed at determining the genetic quality or performance of the livestock. The aid will be aimed at covering the expenses related to the implementation and development of officially approved breeding programs and performance controls for carrying out genetic evaluations of the animals and programs for disseminating improvement. The maximum percentage of the aid is 70 percent, in accordance with article 27.5.a) of Regulation (EC) 2022/2472, of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. Third. Regulatory bases. Royal Decree 1625/2011, of November 14 (BOE No. 295), modified by Royal Decree 181/2015, of March 13 (BOE No. 63) and both modified by Royal Decree 45/2019, of November 8 (BOE No. 52 of March 1, 2019) and modified in Royal Decree 663/2023, of July 18 (BOE-A-2023-16725). Room. Amount. The financing of the expense involved in the granting of this aid will be carried out in the year 2024 charged to the availability of the budget applications: 05.04.412B.482.01 and 05.04.412B.784 with a maximum estimated total amount of one hundred and forty-five thousand euros (€145,000) and ten thousand euros (€10,000) respectively, these amounts being conditioned by the amounts published in the Cantabria Budget Law for the year 2024. This amount will be co-financed with funds that come from the General State Budgets. Fifth. Application submission deadline. Applications will be addressed to the General Directorate of Livestock, signed by the corresponding applicant or, where applicable, by their legal representative. Applications for aid may be submitted in the electronic records established in article 134.8 of the Law of Cantabria 5/2018, of November 22, on the Legal Regime of the Government of the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The presentation of the application implicitly authorizes the Administration to verify compliance with tax obligations, vis-à-vis Social Security, and the Government of Cantabria. In the event of express denial, the corresponding certificates must be presented by the applicant. The deadline for submitting applications will be 1 month from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC).
