Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Independent producers and audiovisual production companies whose object is audiovisual activity, natural persons or private legal entities with corporate form, who have their tax domicile in Cantabria, who carry out their activity in Cantabria, dedicated to film production whose objective is the realization of audiovisual projects and who are registered with the Tax on Economic Activities (I.A.E.) in the heading, may be beneficiaries of these subsidies. corresponding to these activities. The tax domicile and eligible activity must be carried out in Cantabria, without prejudice to the carrying out of activities outside the territory of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The requirements required of the beneficiary to obtain the subsidy must be maintained during the processing of the file and until the moment of justification of the aid granted. Groups of legally constituted natural or legal persons, public or private, who, due to the purposes, object or scope of the activity, can carry out the actions that motivate the granting of the subsidy, and who meet the requirements established for this call, may also participate in the call. The members of the group must meet the requirements indicated in the previous section. In the case of co-productions between one or more natural or legal persons, only those who individually meet the requirements set forth in the regulations governing the subsidy may be beneficiaries. If the subsidy is granted, the companies that meet the requirements to be beneficiaries will have the status of beneficiary co-producers, while the rest of the associated entities will be non-beneficiary co-producers. The aid will only be granted to the beneficiary producers, and exclusively based on the percentage of the spending commitment assumed by said beneficiary producers. When a co-production involves more than one natural or legal person who may meet the requirements to be beneficiaries, this must be stated in the granting resolution, which will detail the amount of the subsidy to be applied to each of them based on the expenditure commitment declared in the application. Only one project can be submitted in this call. In the event that more than one is presented, only the one presented last will be valid. Beneficiaries of these subsidies may be natural persons or private legal entities with corporate form, that have their tax domicile in Cantabria, that carry out their activity in Cantabria, dedicated to film production whose objective is the realization of audiovisual projects and that are registered with the Tax on Economic Activities (I.A.E.) in the heading corresponding to these activities. The tax domicile and eligible activity must be carried out in Cantabria, without prejudice to the carrying out of activities outside the territory of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The requirements demanded of the beneficiary to obtain the subsidy must be maintained during the application submission period and until the moment of justification of the aid granted. Groups of legally constituted natural or legal persons, public or private, who, due to the purposes, object or scope of the activity, can carry out the actions that motivate the granting of the subsidy, and who meet the requirements established for this call, may also participate in the call. The members of the group and/or the co-production must meet the requirements indicated in the previous section. In order to have the status of beneficiary, the petitioner must be registered in the administrative registry of audiovisual and cinematographic companies of the Institute of Cinematography and Visual Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, as a cinematography production company (first section). Second. Purpose: The purpose of this resolution is to approve the call for the granting of subsidies aimed at the production and editing of short films (fiction, animation or documentaries) and video art by professionals, for activities from January 1 to December 31, 2024, provided that there is adequate and sufficient credit
