Official description of the call
First: Beneficiaries All people who meet the following requirements may participate: 1. All people who wish to do so over the age of 18 will be eligible for the CONTE Short Narrative Award for the exercise of the call, with the exception of the winners of the immediately previous edition. 2. The stories presented, in narrative prose, will have a free theme and each author will be able to present a single story, which will be in Valencian or Spanish. 3. The works presented must be original and unpublished, having not been published in whole or in part, nor awarded in this or any other literary competition. Second: Purpose The purpose of these rules is to regulate, under a competitive competition regime, the process of granting the 32nd Edition of the CONTE Short Fiction Awards, 2024. The purpose of this call is to support literary creation in any of the two official languages of the Valencian Community. Third: Regulatory bases Plenary agreement of December 4, 2018. BOP nº 81, of 04/29/2019 URL. www.elpuig.es Fourth: Amount The budget allocation of 5,000 euros, assigned to the payment of the prizes, will be attributed to the budget application 33400-48001 Culture. Study Scholarships and Culture Awards from the Municipal budget in force for the year 2023. The distribution and amount of the prizes will be: BEST CONTE IN VALENCIAN...600 euros ACCÉSIT CONTE IN VALENCIAN...300 euros BEST CONTE IN SPANISH...600 euros ACCÉSIT CONTE IN SPANISH...300 euros The present awards are subject to taxation by the Personal Income Tax in the case of Spanish nationals, in the terms of current regulations. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting stories will be 15 calendar days from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Valencia. The publication will be made after the approval of the call by the Local Government Board. Sixth. Documentation to be presented The required documentation must be presented at the LA MARINA cultural center, Plaza Mariano Benlliure, s/n, 46540 EL PUIG DE SANTA MARIA. They may also be submitted by email (lamarina@elpuig.es) or by any of the means indicated in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. DOCUMENTATION TO SUBMIT: a) The stories will have a minimum length of 3 pages and a maximum of 8 and will be sent in triplicate, signed with the motto or pseudonym, with the following format: - Word document - DIN-A4 sheets, written on one side and 1.5 spacing. - The writing character will be Times New Roman font (size 12). b) The stories must be sent in a closed envelope, the motto or pseudonym will appear on the outside of the envelope. Inside there will be another where the personal data of the participants will be included (name, surname, ID, full address and contact telephone number). Optionally, participants may attach their resume. c) If you choose to submit via email (lamarina@elpuig.es), two files must be sent, one with the story and the other with personal data. The organization guarantees the anonymity of the participants. d) Responsible declaration of the beneficiary: - That the data presented in the application are true. - That it is up to date in compliance with tax obligations with the state, regional and local treasury, and with Social Security. - That it undertakes to comply with the obligations that, for recipients of aid and subsidies, establishes art. 14 of the same General Subsidies Law. - That it has not requested or obtained any other aid for the same purpose from public or private entities, national, European Union or international organizations that is incompatible with this aid and that, if compatible, does not jointly exceed the cost of the subsidized expense. e) It will be verified that the documentation is correct. If not, the Administration will require the people who opt for aid to present the required documents within ten days, with the warning that if they do not do so, it will be considered that they have given up their request, and that, following a corresponding resolution, the file will be archived, in accordance with the provisions of
