* Ministry of Tourism and Employment * * U.A.P. of the Ministry of Tourism and Employment.- Extract from Order No. * 276/2023 of December 29, of the Ministry of Tourism and Employment, by which * the regulatory bases and the call for the * 2024 financial year are approved, for subsidies to finance projects of the * Tourism Resilience Strategy in the Canary Islands, within the program of * actions with Local Entities in tourist infrastructures, within the * framework of the Plan of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience, financed * by the European Union «Next Generation EU». * * BDNS (Identif.): 738392 * * In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of * Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the * extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the * National Subsidies Database * (https://www.infosubvenciones.es/bdnstrans/GE/es/convocatoria/738392). * * First. - Object . * 1.1.- The purpose of these bases is to promote the improvement of the * competitiveness of tourist destinations by alleviating the competitive * disadvantages that were included in MONITUR 2018 for the Canary Islands, and which are, * the improvement of the attractiveness of public spaces, the treatment of * waste or environmental management, the structuring of * tourist products and those projects aimed at actions to improve the * tourist quality of the destination through beautification and * sustainability, meeting standards of quality, durability and * idiosyncrasy of the place being promoted by local * entities, councils or associations. * * 1.2.- According to the Strategic Planning Instrument (IPE) of the * Ministry of Tourism and Employment, this call corresponds to * component 14, investment 3 of the Recovery, Transformation and * Resilience Plan. Actions that are the subject of this * subsidy will be considered those that are framed within tourist infrastructures * on goods of public interest or ownership or goods with an * inventoryable character for tourist purposes in the following lines of * action: * * a) The conservation, maintenance, enhancement and rehabilitation * of public tourist infrastructure. * b) Environmental improvement and recovery, both in coastal areas and in publicly owned natural spaces. * c) The modernization of waste management systems, * addressing prevention, the reduction of waste generation and * the implementation of separate collection systems for the different * materials that enable their preparation for reuse or * recycling, as well as the introduction of improvements in gray water * treatment systems. * d) The improvement of equipment and systems affected by the public interest * and for tourism purposes in the field of security and emergency. * e) The development of an alternative tourist product to sun and beach * where the intrinsic cultural, heritage, * historical and ethnographic value is organized and made visible. * f) Acclimatization and adaptation actions to climate change, * in particular with regard to the improvement of irrigation systems, * reuse of water resources and the optimal selection of local * tree and shrub species and those assets of relevant and * justified cultural, heritage, historical and/or ethnographic value. * * In Annex I of Order No. 276/2023 of December 29, 2023, a non-exhaustive list of possible actions to * be developed is * indicated. * * Second. - Beneficiaries and Requirements to apply for the subsidy. * 2.1.
