Official description of the call
First.- Object The Provincial Council of Valladolid, in collaboration with the Cultural Association for the Arts of Valladolid Grupo Aguafuerte, convenes the IX International Aguafuerte Engraving Biennial of Valladolid, with the aim of promoting artistic creativity in the intaglio engraving sector. Second.- Legal regime This call will be governed by the provisions of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies Regulation (LGS), in Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the General Regulation of Subsidies (RGS), and by the rest of the applicable legislation. This call is made in accordance with the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Valladolid Provincial Council, approved by Plenary Agreement dated February 24, 2006, and published in BOP No. 54, dated March 6, 2006 and is framed within the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Valladolid Provincial Council, year 2024, which is included as an annex to the general budget, approved by the Plenary session initially in the session held on November 24, 2023, and whose objective is to promote training, research and study in the field of intaglio engraving, and promote creative activity in relation to the plastic arts, and especially engraving. Third.- Advertising The call for this Award will be made public in the BOP of Valladolid (via extract), on the website of the Provincial Council of Valladolid, and in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS). Fourth.- Recipients 4.1 Any national and international artist may attend this call. 4.2 The winner of the first prize from the previous call will not be able to attend the Biennial. 4.3 Participation in the call implies acceptance of these rules. Fifth.- Works 5.1 Each artist may present a single original work, which must be made using the intaglio engraving system (with direct, indirect or additive techniques, or a combination of them), excluding digital printing. The works must be signed and numbered, so that the character of Original Graphic Work is accredited. 5.2 Works that have been presented and awarded in other competitions will not be admitted. 5.3 The works must be carried out during the years 2023 or 2024. 5.4 The printing medium must be paper and its measurement must be a maximum of 76 x 112 cm. and a minimum of 54 x 75 cm. The image will be at least 45 x 35 cm. ? Sixth.- Prizes 6.1 The following prizes will be awarded: ? 1st Prize, worth 5,000 euros? 2nd Prize, worth 3,000 euros? 3rd Prize, endowed with 2,000 euros These amounts will be attributed to the budget application 204,333,00,481.00 of the Provincial Budget for the year 2024. The Cultural Association for the Arts of Valladolid Grupo Aguafuerte may grant up to 3 second prizes without financial remuneration. 6.2 The prizes will be subject to the legally established withholdings. 6.3 To proceed with the payment of the prizes, the beneficiaries must present a bank data sheet prepared by the corresponding financial entity, which is available at the electronic address: https://goo.su/q0Brki 6.4 The winning specimens will become the property of the Provincial Council of Valladolid. Seventh.- Applications and submission deadline 7.1 Interested parties who wish to register for the contest must present the following documentation: ? Application for participation, in accordance with the model attached to these bases as Annex I. ? Summary resume. ? Title, technique, dimensions of the work and date of completion. ? A photograph of the work presented. If the presentation is made through electronic office, the photograph must be in jpg format. 7.2 Applications and the rest of the documentation can be submitted: - In person at the General Registry of the Provincial Council of Valladolid, located at Avda. Ramón y Cajal, nº 5, CP 47003 of Valladolid, or by postal mail, ordinary or certified, addressed to the same address. - Telematically on the electronic headquarters of the Valladolid Provincial Council website.
