EXTRACT FROM THE PUBLIC CALL FOR GRANTS OF THE MUNICIPAL FOUNDATION OF CULTURE, EDUCATION AND POPULAR UNIVERSITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF GIJÓN/XIXÓN FOR THE YEAR 2024, APPROVED BY AGREEMENT OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE MENTIONED FOUNDATION, ON MARCH 21, 2024, FOR ASSOCIATIONS AND YOUTH GROUPS. I. OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THE CALL: The purpose of this call for subsidies is to grant, on a competitive basis, financial aid/subsidies for the development of projects to promote leisure and free time, culture and the active participation of young people in local life and prevention of LGTBIphobia and all types of violence or discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation, during the year 2024, in the terms indicated in the specific Annex: No. 5 "Subsidies for Youth Associations and Groups." This line of subsidies is subdivided, in turn, into 2 sub-lines: Sub-line 1: General youth participation programs Sub-line 2: Specific programs for the prevention of LGTBIphobia and all types of violence or discrimination based on gender or sexual orientation. II. BENEFICIARY ENTITIES: They may apply for this call for subsidies. youth associations or youth sections of other associations that carry out activities, at least, in the council of Gijón/Xixón; non-youth associations, foundations and non-profit entities that present programs specifically aimed at the young population (from 14 to 29 years) of the council of Gijón/Xixón; groups of young people aged 18 to 29 that wish to carry out a project of activities of youth interest within the council of Gijón/Xixón described in sections I and II of this call and detailed in the specific Annex: No. 5 "Subsidies for Youth Associations and Groups." III. GLOBAL AMOUNT: The financial amount of this call for the year 2024 is €57,600, allocated to Line 5 "Subsidies for Youth Associations and Groups", which is distributed as follows: Sub-line 1: €50,000 Sub-line 2: €7,600 IV. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: The general deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias. V.
