EXTRACT FROM THE PUBLIC CALL FOR GRANTS OF THE MUNICIPAL FOUNDATION OF CULTURE, EDUCATION AND POPULAR UNIVERSITY OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF GIJÓN/XIXÓN FOR THE YEAR 2024, APPROVED BY AGREEMENT OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE MENTIONED FOUNDATION, ON MARCH 21, 2024, FOR THE PROMOTION OF CULTURAL COMPANIES (PUBLISHERS). I. OBJECT AND PURPOSE OF THE CALL: The purpose of these rules is to regulate the granting of subsidies under a competitive competition regime for the promotion of cultural companies (publishers), through financial aid to companies or professionals that continuously promote publishing activities of general interest during 2024, in the terms indicated in the specific Annex: No. 7 "Subsidies for the Promotion of Cultural Companies (Publishers)". II. BENEFICIARY ENTITIES: Any natural person or legal entity that has the category of small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and has its registered office, establishment or commercial delegation, in the council of Gijón/Xixón, described in sections I and II of this call and detailed in the specific Annex: No. 7 "Subsidies for the Promotion of Cultural Companies (Publishers)", and that carry out their activity, at least, in the Council of Gijón/Xixón. III. GLOBAL AMOUNT: The financial amount of this call for the year 2024 is €24,000, allocated to Line 7 "Subsidies for the Promotion of Cultural Companies (Publishers)". IV. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: The general deadline for submitting applications will be 20 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias. V.
