Official description of the call

First. Object. The purpose of this Order is to regulate the granting of training stays located in national territory, aimed at improving the mathematical, technological and scientific competence of students enrolled in 6th grade of Primary Education in the 2023-2024 academic year, in centers supported with public funds in the Region of Murcia. Second. Beneficiaries. Students enrolled in the 6th grade of Primary Education during the 2023-2024 academic year in an educational center supported by public funds from the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia may be beneficiaries of this aid. 552 places are offered, without prejudice to the fact that as a result of the process of contracting services for the training stay, the expansion of their number is allowed. Third. Purpose. That students contribute to improving mathematical, technological and scientific competence with the aim of promoting the teaching of Sciences, highlighting that scientific training must be understood as continuous training throughout life, and must be interdisciplinary scientific education (STEM must be extensible to all subjects and disciplines), since it is necessary to promote scientific education as a means of acquiring key competences, with the aim of facilitating the transition from “education for employability”. Likewise, it is necessary to promote research and innovation and public understanding of science, and innovation and scientific education must be connected at local, regional, national, European and international levels. Room. Regulatory bases. Order of May 22, 2023 of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Employment establishing the regulatory bases for subsidies co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus 2021-2027, on a competitive basis, to students of Primary Education and Compulsory Secondary Education of non-university teaching centers supported with public funds of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia to carry out training stays in the national territory of the improvement program of linguistic competence and improvement of mathematical, technological and scientific (STEM) competence. Fifth. Amount: The amount of aid referred to in this Call Order will be paid directly to the companies that are awarded the public tender called for this purpose and will be co-financed at 60% with funds from the ESF+ 2021-2027 and at 40% with affected own funds, charged to item 15.03.00.422I.483.49, draft expense, 50601, with a maximum amount of €194,635.20. This amount represents a maximum estimated individual amount per participating student of €352.60. Said individual amount will be conditioned to the amount of the award of the service contract for the training stay, which will correspond to that established in the Award Order. Sixth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of this Call Order in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia. Seventh. Application and documentation. Students who wish to participate in the training stay must complete the Participation Request, which includes Annex I, VIII and IX, indicated in the following sections: Annex I: Application for training stay in STEM camps in the Region of Murcia for 6th year Primary Education students for the 2023/2024 academic year. Annex VIII: European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) Survey 2021-2027. Form for the collection, processing and verification of participant data. Annex IX: Assumption by the applicant of the commitment to comply with section VI of the Code of Conduct regarding subsidies and public aid of the Region of Murcia, adopted by the Government Council in its session of December 29, 2021, approved by Resolution of January 13, 2022, of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Transparency, Security and Emergencies (BORM of January 29, 2022). Likewise, a single application must be submitted for each student. If a second request is made, it will cancel the previous request.
