Description: For the year 2026, in the form of concession under a competitive concurrence regime, and through the Department of Education, subsidies are being called for supported educational centers, for a maximum amount of 220,000.00 euros, with a budget allocation charged to item 2027.06001 1534 78004 Beneficiaries. Educational centers supported with public funds in the 2nd cycle of Lower Education (CEI), Lower and Primary Education (CEIP), Primary Education (CEP), Special Education (CEE), and Secondary Education Institutes (IES and IESO) of Cartagena, which meet the rest of the requirements of the call, may apply for this call for subsidies. Object. The purpose of this call is to encourage children and young people in our municipality to actively participate in public policies and awaken interest in deciding and getting involved in everything related to their municipality. In this way we will ensure that, when they reach adulthood, they are active citizens and committed to their city. Therefore, all students from the participating centers must participate in carrying out a Participatory Budgeting process, deciding where the money assigned to the educational center should be invested, taking into account the common good. This call is governed by the provisions of Title II, Chapter V of the Bases for Execution of the Municipal Budget and the bases thereof that can be obtained on the Cartagena City Council website: https://www.cartagena.es/becas_ayudas_subvenciones.asp. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications, accompanied by the required documentation, will be ONE MONTH starting from the month following the publication of the extract of this call in the BORM. Form of presentation of applications and required documentation. The subsidy application must be submitted, through the Municipal Electronic Headquarters (General Instance addressed to the Department of Education for the Subsidy of Participatory Budgets in Educational Centers 2026/27) using a digital certificate of the educational center. If a personal certificate is used, a document proving the representation held must be attached. Along with the application, the required documentation must be attached, which can be found on the city council's website.
