FINANCIAL AID TO SUPPORT ENERGY CONSUMPTION EXPENSES

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: Natural persons of legal age who, on the date of submission of the application, meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this aid: 1. Have Spanish nationality or legally reside in Spain, in the case of foreign persons. 2. That the home to which the invoices refer is located in the Bergondo City Council and constitutes your habitual residence, as well as your cohabitation unit. For these purposes, both the beneficiary and the other members must be registered in the home for a minimum of six months. In cases where it is evident that more people reside in the home, even without being registered, documentation relating to their economic situation will be required and will be counted together with the income of the cohabitation unit. 3. Additionally comply with any of the following specific requirements: a) Income less than or equal to 2 X IPREM of 14 payments. When your cohabitation unit is made up of more than one person, the income multiplier with respect to the IPREM index of 14 payments will increase by: · 0.5 for each additional person of legal age that makes up the cohabitation unit · 0.75 for each minor person in the cohabitation unit. b) All people in the cohabitation unit with economic income are pensioners of the Social Security System (retirement or permanent disability) and receive the minimum amount in force at all times, for said types of pension, and do not have other income whose aggregate annual amount exceeds 500 euros. c) Some person in the cohabitation unit is the holder of the Minimum Vital Income benefit in their own name or on behalf of the cohabitation unit, in accordance with that established in Law 29/2021, of December 20, which does establish the minimum vital income. d) Perception of the Social Inclusion Income of Galicia, in accordance with that established in Law 10/2013, of November 27, on social inclusion of Galicia. Second. Purpose: The current socioeconomic crisis is leaving an important social mark, which does translate into an increase in levels of poverty and social exclusion of those most vulnerable groups. To address its consequences and alleviate its economic and social impact, this call aims to grant financial aid for the payment of electricity and thermal energy bills to the most vulnerable families in the Bergondo City Council. Third. Regulatory bases: The regulatory bases for the call for extraordinary municipal aid to support the payment of electricity and thermal energy bills are published in the BOP of A Coruña No. 86 of May 3, 2024. Fourth. Amount: 1. The amount of this aid will be up to 400 euros. The aid will be granted in a maximum of four invoices from the year 2024. Exceptions may be applied to the timing of said invoices when they are linked to a supply cut. 2. In the event of the credit being exhausted, the priority of granting and/or setting the amount will be determined based on the lowest result of applying the following formula: income of the cohabitation unit / limit amount of income of the cohabitation unit. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will be from the day after the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province until October 31, 2024.
